Sylum Advent 2014: Sign Ups
What is Sylum Advent?
Sylum Advent s is our Annual Winter Event. It will start on December 1st and go through to Boxing Day, December 26th. It will focus on Sylum Stories, but we also accept Sylum Art. It’s not uncommon to see stories that are set up that will relate to major Arcs.
What do you need to do to participate?
You will need to sign up and state what your interested in doing.
REMINDER: All Sylum Stories will need to be approved by Bj Jones. If you’re interested in doing a Sylum Story contact Bj (sylumclan@yahoo.com). DO NOT write the story then send it, the story will likely get rejected and you would have to start all over again. So email Bj first!!!
How do I sign up?

Just click reply and let us know what your interested in doing, don’t forget to give us your contact info so we can get a hold of you.
Sign Ups close September 15th. If we do not get your request, by the 15th it will not be included.
Is there a deadline of when the Fic/Art needs to be Finished?
Yes!
– Posts will be made on October 1st, 15th & November 1st to check on progress.
– All Fic/Art will need to finished and emailed to (sylumclan@yahoo.com) by November 15th.

We’re always trying to find the best ways to keep the blog safe yet keep it easily accessible to everyone else.
The spam program we were using, the designers decided not to support it anymore. Though it had worked great it also made commenting more difficult.
Tried another – we won’t even go there.
The one we’re trying now could possible work to keep the spam out yet not annoy everyone else in the process – this is a good thing!
*crosses fingers*
I’m asking for those who do read and comment on the blog to do a favor for me.
First – clear your cookies/caches etc… this will get rid of previous versions of the blog and make it clean so to speak.
Second – reply to this post. I’ve added back the reply via twitter, facebook, wordpress or email. (I’m not sure where it had gone but hey it’s back!)
If you are one of those who was able to keep their registration – sign in that way and reply. You use twitter and follow the link from twitter – reply using that. In Memoriam: Robin Williams
In Memoriam
It’s been a week since the news that we lost Robin Williams.
It’s taken me the past week just to process the loss for myself, let alone figure out the best way to pay tribute a man who touched so many lives.
It’s hard to find anyone who hasn’t been touched in some way by his movies/tv shows, his kind soul, or his infectious laugh. I’m from a generation that can remember Mork & Mindy.
His movies made you laugh.
Mrs. Doubtfire.
Jumanji.
The moment I hear.
‘Good Morning Vietnam’
I hear Robin Williams.
He earned an Academy Award for Good Will Hunting and encouraged two young men to take on Hollywood.
And lets not forget this guy….
Generations of kids learned how to be a ‘Friend like Me’ through Robin Williams.
He was re-introduced to new generations as Theodore Roosevelt in the Night at the Museum Series. The series reminded me how much he made me laugh.
Even a week after hearing the news I still get tears in my eyes.
But Robin was about laughter!
Sylum has always given tribute to those who have inspired us.
So in Sylum style – lefts ups a glass of cider.
To Robin. Thanks for the laughter. For the tears. You’ve been an inspiration. A humanitarian. And you will be missed.
A Robin Williams character will be introduced in Sylum.
He’s inspired so many and will be immortalized for all.
Sylum Wiki: Update
To let everyone in on, what has been the Administrators worst nightmare.
The wiki has crashed and burned.
The Administrators were found weeping under their desks.
So after long hours of *headdesking* *wailing* and *OMG* *WTF* *REALLY?!!* We came up with a solution.
The wiki is being re-built in a new location, on a more stable platform.
What does this mean to everyone else?
The wiki that you currently can view is out of date.
You can access it, and about 85% will be accurate enough to get the information you need.
Note: If you have questions where the wiki doesn’t match the Sylum story – leave your question at the Q&A Section of the blog.
The new improved wiki will be revealed when we start posting the 10th Anniversary of Clan War.
