We’ve just lost three greats.  Bright lights in the world that has touched a lot of people in different ways.

In typical Sylum fashion we’ll be honoring their legacies.

First off – Tim Curry.

Now we have 2 of his characters already.  Richelieu who met his demise in Clan War and Wadsworth who keeps the pirates under control.

Yes we will be bring in Frank-N-Furter – he’ll pop up when he’s ready.

Dolly Parton was a beautiful person inside and out.

We’re bring her in to be Bruce’s secretary (yes we’ll be adjusting a few stories to make it work)

Peter Cullen.   Now some might not realize he is the voice of Optimus Prime (who will make a debut at some point) but also the voice of our beloved depressed donkey (Eeyore).

Since he won’t be the image for Optimus we decided to make him the image of Thomas Efford – for a long time we weren’t sure who to put in that role, so we kinda left it choose your own adventure.   But realized our best way to tribute him, and he kinda fits that look – he is now our Thomas.

I’ll be doing some tributes snippets in honor of those we’ve lost.

Take a moment.  Light a candle.  For those we have lost this year.

Take a moment to remember all the men & women who have fought in their countries armed forces.

Raises a glass to all those we’ve lost this year.   

To those we’ve lost personally, for those we’ve admired, and for those we will never know their names.

Yesterday – Sylum lost one of it’s original members.   

Janelle,  our beloved Benton, passed yesterday morning to cancer.  

She was part of Sylum from the beginning, and attended many of the Sylum Cons.   She had a beautiful soul, a contagious laugh, and was a wonderful person.

Janelle – I know you’re at peace and resting in God’s arms.

As 2022 comes to end, lets take a moment of silence for all those we have lost.

Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand that broadly commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders “who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations” and “the contribution and suffering of all those who have served”. Observed on 25 April each year, Anzac Day was originally devised to honour the members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) who served in the Gallipoli Campaign, their first engagement in the First World War (1914–1918).

We’re all likely very happy to see 2020 slide away into history.

This is the time we take to lift a glass and toast those we have lost.   We have lost too many this year, not just those names we all know, but so many we don’t.

So please take this moment to say a prayer, take a moment, light a candle for all those we’ve lost in 2020.
