Ghost/Darkness: Hunter
Okoyo doesn’t talk about her childhood. She lost her family to slavers, and when they came for her, she fought hoping for a quick death.
Only to be saved by Ababuo, who attacked the slavers killing them all.
She traveled for a few years with Ababuo, learning about Vampires, the Medjai, and how to fight. In time she asked Ababuo to Turn her and be trained as a warrior.

What is Sylum Advent?
Sylum Advent is our Annual Winter Event. It will start on December 1st and go through to New Years Day, January 1st.
What do you need to do to participate?
You will need to sign up and state what your interested in doing.
Reminder: If you would like to work on a Sylum story, you will need to contact me with your idea, and I will have to see a draft ahead of time to make edits or notes. It’s best if you focus on stories that aren’t attached to main characters being used in Arcs or stories by other authors.

November 4th: All Banner requests must be in to taibhrigh
November 22nd: All stories, art, fanmixes, videos, etc must be turned into me.
I understand life happens, if you realize that you won’t be able to make the deadline or get the story/art done, please let me know ASAP so I can adjust posting schedule.

Ghost/Darkness Clan: Second-in-Command
Allan Quatermain doesn’t talk much about his life before he set foot in Africa. He won’t even mention his real name.
What he will tell you, is this: Some strange little Shaman looked at him, yelled out some weird words, wiped paint across his cheeks and forehead and told him, ‘You have the Spirit of Africa in you. As long as you stay on her soil you will be immortal.’
Two days later the tribe he was with were attacked, and he was Turned by Anok Sabe.
The General is Moving!
So yes we’re moving.
The next two months will be hectic and chaotic.

There will be times I’m not able to access the blog or site. So be patient if something does happen, I’ll work to get things fixed as quickly as possible.
At the moment – Sylum Vault is closed and we’ll make announcement when it reopens, likely in October.
Most importantly the bunnies have been packed and organized, hopefully they won’t get lost on the way to their new den.

It’s hard to believe we’ve hit 15 Years! I’m not even sure where the time has gone.
The fact that Sylum is still going, and has so many plans for the future is awe inspiring.
I think all of you for being here, supporting Sylum through the years, who knew we were going to include pandemic in that category.
As you know we do a lot to maintain Sylum, and on occasions ask for help to keep the servers up and running.
The servers hold the blog, wiki, and archive, which are supported by Dreamhost. It costs $150 a year to keep up with all the hosting fees. If you can please donate directly to Dreamhost – all donations go directly to the hosting service and we do not see any of the money.
If you would like to help support me directly you can always stop by Sylum Vault (though we’ll be closing on the 1st to prep for our move … though reopening in October). Get some beautiful bling, bookmarks, greeting cards, and other accessories!
