Sylum Timeline: October 2012 AD
After some calculations, checking the alignment of the stars and throwing a dart at the nearest calendar we came up with March 1st is Nicolaus Meridius Birthday!
So lets all give him warm Birthday Wishes!!
This month we’re going with the theme – New Woman Characters we’ve introduced in celebration of International Woman’s Day on March 8th.

Claire Temple was born in Chicago’s southside in 1917. She’s of mixed Puerto Rican and Afro-Cuban descent, but never let that stand in her way. Her father willingly served in the Army during the first World War to better both himself and his family and to support his country. Unfortunately, he never returned home.
However, Claire inherited her father’s passion and drive to help. She worked hard to become a nurse and worked in Chicago’s Provident Hospital. She was surprised that a white doctor would willing setup a practice in the hospital. But Doctor John Carter didn’t see skin colors, just people that needed help. When he offered to teach her medical techniques above what she had learned in nursing school, she took the chance.
Over the next few years she worked closely with Carter and soon learned about Vampires because they came to him, and later her, when they were hurt.
She was in the wrong location at the wrong time and was shot during a drive-by shooting. When she finally made it to the hospital she was close to death and took the offer from Carter to be Turned.
Person of Interest Characters are not new in Sylum. Last year or was it the year before that we introduced John and Harold. The bastards re worked their story so many times it became a nightmare *glares at the two*.
We also introduced Carter and Zoe during Advent, and in time we’ll be introducing Lionel.
But this week we showcased Megan Tillman.
I’m sure many are wondering why such a small side character that we see once, ended up as a character in Sylum. Megan Tillman was such a real character, she deserved more storyline. Her pain of losing her sister, determination to go after the rapist, and then realization of this wasn’t who she was and handed the keys to John – is such an emotional scene, we knew she had to be part of sylum.
She’s also going to give House a run for his money (he’ll adore her because she won’t put up with his shit).
And Harold needs a doctor on staff at all times.

As we’ve been highlighting the characters we brought in during Advent, and prepping to showcase a new set coming soon – we’ve decided to introduce some of the new pets that will also have a new home.
The picture above is Cockatoo … yes it’s a Cockatoo. M who owns this little guy, decided no one would expect Cockatoo of being a spy if it’s name is Cockatoo.
For the rest of the introductions they’ll be under a cut. Why? Because I know some people really do not like reptiles or snakes. Do Not click on the ‘Read More’ link if you do not want to see snakes or reptiles!!

Timestamp #2: Unexpected Arrival (Set three years after Cuba)
The ended up sending Erik to talk to Austin, for some reason the two got a long, something no one had expected. Charles was the only one, who knew why Erik took to Austin – he reminded him of his father, who was soft spoken, polite and willing to help anyone who asked. It helped that Austin had planted a small rose bush, Edie’s favorite, in honor of Edie and Jakob Leshnerr.
So it was Erik who explained they would need to move the Rose Garden.
And moved it they did.
It was a good work out for everyone, despite having blisters for days afterwards.
It was a rare moment when Charles hated Erik’s mutation as he sat on one of the benches and used his powers to make a few of the shovels dig holes. When Alex asked why he wasn’t ‘working out’, Erik coughed and rubbed his chest.
Charles wasn’t sure if he had wanted to glare or laugh.
