Holly March is the daughter of Holland March.

She lost her mother when she was young, and was raised by her father.   In time she felt as if she was raising her father, and finally got help when they met Jackson Healy.

The only time she was truly scared for her new family was when Healy had disappeared and she saw a part of father, she really hoped never to see again.  When they got Healy back, she discovered the world of Vampires.

It wasn’t long before her dad was Turned, and they were a real family.

She did what most girls did.

Went to college.  Fought for equal rights.  Decided to have kids.

She just didn’t get a man to have kids with.  Her dad still brings out the Turkey Baster out at Thanksgiving …

The biggest tragedy she had, was loosing one of the kids during birth.  (Dilios Note: Discussing with Healy, there seems to be more here, but no one is sure yet)

When it was time for her to be Turned she went to Bruce Wayne to be Turned.  He had been there for the past years, dealing with the ‘Nice Guys’ and well he was her dad in a past life.

Sylum Information: Jo Nesbø

Harry Hole is a Norwegian Detective who catches Serial Killers.  We were introduced to the character, when we heard Fassbender took the role.  Then we got the books.

Jo Nesbø’s books are amazing, you love and hate Harry and there are moments that you don’t see coming.

Now on that note.  I will tell you – don’t read past the Snowman.  No really just don’t. Stop at the Snowman and forget there were any other stories.

Why?  Because the storyline went from works of art to a 5 year old’s finger painting.

As for the movie.

Don’t see it.

I hate to say it, but don’t.  Unless you really want to see a great travel video for Norway.  Or it’s so bad you have to see it!!

Now on that note Michael Fassbender played Harry Hole perfectly.  He stated in an interview he had read the books (he had to because the script was so pathetic it made Angels & Demons looking like an Academy Award winning Script) so he played Harry Hole perfectly.

Read Snowman the book.

Read all the books that came before that.

Don’t read anything after Snowman.

No seriously … don’t.

Since we do have Harry Hole, we will be working the Snowman case into storyline *evil cackles* – cause we make shitty movies better – it’s what Sylum does.

Harry Hole (pronounced hoo-leh) was born in Oslo, Norway both parents were school teachers, and his young sister “Sis” has Down’s Syndrome, whom he always makes sure is well taken care of.

He joined the Oslo Police Department straight out of Police College where he studied law.

Over the past decades he’s become Norway’s leading expert on Serial Killers.

Harry is a known drunk, asshole who manages to piss everyone off yet exceptional at his job.

While at a very remote dark crime scene, he was attacked and then woke up dead.

World Blood Donor Day

Every year, on 14 June, countries around the world celebrate World Blood Donor Day. The event serves to thank voluntary, unpaid blood donors for their life-saving gifts of blood and to raise awareness of the need for regular blood donations to ensure the quality, safety and availability of blood and blood products for patients in need.

Transfusion of blood and blood products helps save millions of lives every year. It can help patients suffering from life-threatening conditions live longer and with a higher quality of life, and supports complex medical and surgical procedures. It also has an essential, life-saving role in maternal and child care and during the emergency response to man-made and natural disasters.

A blood service that gives patients access to safe blood and blood products in sufficient quantity is a key component of an effective health system. An adequate supply can only be ensured through regular donations by voluntary, unpaid blood donors. However, in many countries, blood services face the challenge of making sufficient blood available, while also ensuring its quality and safety.

There is a lot of work that goes into keep Sylum up and running.  There are hours of behind the scenes work:  scheduling and building posts for the blog, updating the website after each Event, maintenance for the blog and wiki, building a new archive, and prepping for Sylum Events (Spring Fling, 7 Days, Advent, and Special Appreciation Days).

Sylum Events coming Soon:

7 Days of Summer – July 1st

Fassbender Fortnight – September 1st

Opening of the New Sylum Archive – October 15th

Sylum Advent – December 1st

And as we prep for these events, we’re still working on everything else!!

This is pretty much a full time job outside the RL one.

I do this because I love Sylum, and what it’s become over the past decade.  As do those who support me, and I appreciation them immensely for the help they have given me.  There are times I can’t thank them enough.

I don’t mind spending my time on Sylum, but at the end of the day – I still need help.

It costs $150 a year to host the website which includes: the blog, website, wiki and archive.

There’s a secondary cost of $50 a year for Spam Protection, Security and Malware Protection (that I pay out of pocket).

We have set up many ways you can help support Sylum.

You can donate directly to our Hosting Company – this money goes to paying the yearly hosting costs, plus renewal of our domain name.

Sylum Vault: Etsy Shop – helps support my personal costs in keeping Sylum up and running.

For those who have shown their support throughout the years – Thank You!  We couldn’t have kept this going without you!
