This years Sylum Inspiration will tie into the Sylum Monthly Calendars.
Since January 2016 Calendar was of Ehre/Weisheit – we’ll be showcasing each week in January a character from that particular Clan.
Updates will either be on Sunday or Monday.

As for the Blog! After its crash we had put up a temporary theme to keep it running.
We now have a new theme!!
It’s a bit different than what we’ve had before – though if you think way way way back – it might be recognizable!

We had a Tumblr?
Yes – we did.
But wasn’t really working out the way I was hoping, mainly because the re-toggling between mine and the Sylum one was getting annoying and very very tedious.
So the Sylum Tumblr will go defunct in a few days.

What will I see if I follow this tumblr?
It’s that time of year! Autumn has come even in California…ish.
Fall is a big time for Sylum. There’s crops to be brought in, festivals to prep for, and a time for all to come together.
For the rest of it – its scramble to get stuff done for Advent!!
Tomorrow our web host servers will be updating our SQL Databases to do this they will be migrating our website onto another server. This will start at 10 am tomorrow (pacific time) … yes yes I know they picked the most convenient time to do this!! This will take 24 hours to transfer.
The site will be accessible most of the time. But there could be blips, delays or downtime through out the day.

Is officials up to date. Well up to date as it can be. There’s always going to be edits, additions, and moving things around.
But it’s done. It will be revealed during Advent! So must be patient for a while more! But believe me it will be worth it.

Wanders off to add the 1002 bio ….
Lately the bunnies have been roaming wild about Alexander. A lot to do with the recent discoveries at the Amphipolis Tomb.
Didn’t help that my dad just got back from visiting Turkey/Greece and I swear brought home bunnies. Bob’s now using him for bunny smuggling purposes.
As we’re dwindling down to the last bios for the new improved wiki … lets not even discuss the amount of work this has been or the time it has consumed!!
I put out the call a few weeks ago and here is your last chance.
We’re taking suggestions for characters … before you hit the keyboard – we’re already looking at Nick Grimm as many many many many did I mention many of you asked/commented about him.
Please Read: Sylum Characters – before suggesting anyone just to make sure you’re not asking for characters that well not be considered.
One last thing: Do not just give us a name from a show. That doesn’t help. If your serious about a character – give us information along with the name. The more information the better chances.

As last night was the Finale of CSI…. No I didn’t watch it – I really had no interest as the show ended for me a long time ago.
But still 15 years!! And since CSI was part of how Sylum started it deserves a nod of thanks and gratitude.
So here’s to Nick & Warrick! Still major Sylum Inspiration after 10 Years.

And to conclude today’s Talk Like a Pirate Day – We’re taking you back a bit.
There are a variety of Pirates through out Sylum and they usually come with their own ship.
Likely the most famous of Pirate Ships is the Black Pearl. Anyone would recognized the black sails and ship coming out of the fog heading straight for them.
Then there’s the Dutchman. No one wants to see this heading in their direction. No one.
Lastly there’s the Jackdaw which will be introduced – when the time is right.
It seemed fitting this week to post Paris, France for Sylum Inspiration.
It may have something to do with the major story I’m working on that involves…
Paris is a major location in the Sylum Universe. Passion Kin Clan has a home base there, many characters come from France, and there are at least three major storylines with elements set with in Paris.
The Great Pyramids
They are a World Heritage site, and one of the Wonders of the World. It’s a recognizable skyline, and the moment anyone sees it, you know what it is.
These Pyramids are distinctive for the Medjai Clan and have been for thousands of years. As more stories emerge for the Medjai, the history of these great structures will also start to be showcased.
Just. Another. Really. Very. Intelligent. System.
Also known as:
Friend, confidant, pain in Tony’s ass – best friend.
He’s a sophisticated AI … that has spread beyond boundaries he was once regulated to. He is also very important in the future of Sylum as an AI.
Hmmm – Maybe I should’ve done this as a Character Introduction!
