National Rugby League – Opening Day

Technically the opening day is March 12th, but with the time difference between Australia and Los Angeles, close enough!

We introduced some of you to NRL with the story Start Something.  If you have the ability, do watch a few games.  If you are really interested check out Watch NRL.

Meantime here’s a Youtube video from the 2019 NRL Season.

March 1st: Change Over

Sylum Update!

At this moment the Clan Security Yahoo Group has been deleted along with the old password.  If you’re freaking out right now, because your password doesn’t work and don’t have the new one – go Here.

Last Day: New Sylum Security Group

Sylum Security Reminder

Last Day!

As a reminder we’re moving the Security List to a new list.  If you missed the State of the Clan, we’re doing this because Yahoo is an asshole.

In the original security group we had it arranged that an email would go out once a month as a reminder of the password.  Considering they deleted all the files, we figured this would change.  Shockingly, Yahoo fucked that up.  On the 1st of January & February, Yahoo sent out that email.  Problem:  I can’t change, delete, or do anything with it!  There is no file to change, no section in the control panel to change what goes out, and they is no support from yahoo.  Great job there Yahoo.  Which leads to a major problem, when we change the password, once a month an email would go out with the wrong information.

Because of this we came with a new system, that is based on the old.  Sadly, Yahoo is one of the only systems that has a ‘mailing service’ that is basic and free.  Mailing Lists, are clumsy and can be expensive.  While other groups have restrictions on adult content.  And we’re not going password free, due to the nature of our content.

So we’ve built a new Security Group, through Yahoo.  It works just like the old one, you sign up and you get the password.  If you are on the old group you WILL have to join this one to get the new password.  And yes it is a NEW password.

The old group and password will be deleted March 1st – TOMORROW.  So this is your last chance to move over.

Imagine working everyday for the person you love, but can never truly have.

Summary:

When Michael Oliver’s neatly laid out career path took a sharp right turn from Afghanistan to Washington D.C., he figured his training as a US Army Ranger would never let him down. But swapping fatigues and combat gear for a dark suit and earpiece, he almost paid the supreme price guarding the Speaker of the House.

Then he found himself guarding the quirky little Senator from Los Angeles whom no one ever imagined might come to win the White House.

Not that he’d ever imagined falling in love with the man either, but there was no escaping it.

Michael had a plan though. It was a well thought out, long term plan that would have allowed him to finally retire away from the one person he could never truly have, and focus all his efforts on the Patron Saints Winery he’d bought years before in California.

But a bunch of domestic terrorists and a woman with a grudge, decided to get in the way first, leaving Michael and his Secret Service Team to do the unthinkable in their fight to save the President of the United States:

‘Shoot the hostage’

Sylum Security: Update

Security Update

As mentioned earlier that the Yahoo Groups are going away … ish.  They are basically turning into a listserve.  There will be no online group, where you can upload files or access older emails.  Well for the Sylum Security this isn’t an issue, not really.

So we decided to basically keep things the way they are.  I’ll send out emails at the first of the month with the password, as a reminder.  When we do decided to update the password (Warning!  This will likely be next year!) we’ll send out plenty of notices via the group.

You will still need this password to access the Sylum Wiki along with fanmixs/videos.  When you request access, we’ll be using this as your statement that you’re over 18 and fully understand what you’re getting into.

If you already are part of the Yahoo Group!  Great no need to do anything.  If you’re not – go here and request access for the password.

Thanks for the patience as we tried to figure all this out.

Note:  Those of you that have access to the old Sylum Yahoo Group (ahh the memories).  Though the group was closed, I left it active for archival purposes.  As they are removing all the content, it’s kinda pointless.  So by end of year that group will be deleted.  So the only group you should be apart of is this one Clan Security and that’s only for the purpose of distributing the password.
