Badgers are amazing creatures, and also not to be fucked with. The most interesting thing I read (while prepping for this post) was the fact there has been known sightings of Badgers and Coyotes hunting together. Theres a thought that will stick for a while.

As it’s Birthday Month – Each Inspiration will be favorite characters I love to write.
Nathan doesn’t talk much about his life before Japan. He fought in the Civil War, was a decorated officer, that saw too many of his men killed. After the war, he drank to stop the memories and barely held onto his rank and pension.
He was sent to Japan to help train the soldiers into an Imperial Army. Except they were kids and not even close to being ready to face battle. When they sent them anyway he rode in afterwards trying to save those he could.
He ended up taken by Takamori, the Shogun warrior holding back the Emperors advances. He hated the man instantly, yet felt a pull to him that made him want to do anything he asked. Takamori detoxed him, trained him, and then sent him to battle.
Nathan watched in horror as they were slaughted now under true military soldiers. He carried Takamori’s sword to the young emperor and told his story. All of it. Including what war does to a man. Showed him the honor of Takamori’s heritage.
He returned to the village only to discover Takamori was actually Katsumoto, a Vampire and his Mate.
He was Turned and Claimed that night.
It’s October – technically it’s beyond fall.

Any special thing/event do for Fall/Harvest/Halloween?
As October approaches (tomorrow) it will be the start of the General’s Birthday Month Extravaganza.
Where I basically post fun things for the month, including snippets, AI images, and fun Sylum things.
Miyagi would talk about a small village by a river, where he had a farm.
He had a beautiful wife, but they were not blessed with children.
It had been a simple life, one he cherished for all time.
I’ve had some interesting ones in the past month. I read Sarah Maas The Court of Thorns and Roses. It wasn’t bad, not the best thing I’ve read – might continue with the series as like a pallet cleanser, but good.
Read Lincoln’s Lady Spy Master by Gerri Willis – this is pretty good, there was Civil War information in it that I hadn’t known which intrigued me. Elizabeth was one of the top Spy Masters in the Civil War and was amazing doing it. Worth it to read, even if you don’t know much on Civil War history as it gives context of person and events.
I may have already mentioned it but Tim Curry’s Autobiography Vagabond is amazing. As is Dolly Parton’s Songteller – she did a series of 3 books on her life from different perspectives: Music, Fashion, Hollywood – I’ve read the music one so far.
This isn’t my favorite – I need to work on it more. Hence it was one of the last ones I posted 🙂

And yes I have a moving one – which I don’t like that much either.
