Mojito Day

Mojito’s Sam Axe’s favorite Drink

“Why Mojito’s?”  Michael slid next to his Mate at their local watering hole, that wasn’t Burn Notice.

“Why not?”  Sam tipped his glass in greeting then sipped the cool delicious drink.

“Considering your pirate history, I would think Rum would be more of a choice.”  Mike pulled off his sunglasses, putting them in his pocket grinning at enjoyment Sam was showcasing.

Which he deserved.

They had caught the guy who was stealing money from local businesses, plus disrupted the beginning workings of a sex ring.  Mac may have slammed the leader of the ring a little to hard onto the patrol car, the guy should be happy if it was Sam he would’ve bled out before he got to the patrol car.  There was a reason he was known as Mr. Stabby by his pirate friends.

“It has Rum in it.”  Michael gave him a look, nodding at the bartender who set down his favorite beer. “Its refreshing, cool, plus tastes good.  Hot rum on a hot day on a hot ship surrounded by sweaty pirates not always pleasant.”

He snorted sipping his beer, he could understand the circumstance, to many times in hot humid bars filled with scum and villainy and way to warm beer.  “Mom wants us over for Sunday dinner, and Fi is looking for her favorite uncles to babysit.”

Sam set his glass down and glanced at his Mate.  “And your plans?”

“I called your crew, the Lucky Jack will be ready to sail in one hour.” He gave him a saucy grin, and wink.

“Oh Mikey.” He downed the rest of the Mojito and stood from the stool, tossing way too much on the bar for one drink.  “You know I was in Cuba, when they say the Mojito was born.”

Westen added another twenty to the pile, slipping on his sunglasses following him out of the small local dive.  “I read some where Sir Francis Drake invented it.”

“That old stick in the mud!”  Sam rolled his eyes.  “Though he is pretty much a drunk most of the time.”

Michael paused, stepped in front of his pirate.  “You know Sir Francis Drake and more importantly he’s still around?”

“Maybe.”
