I have way to many bunnies running around – a lot of them are in Union uniform!

So just going to go with the theme of the Dead Presidents Wing

“How did I get stuck doing this?”  Grant glanced over to his Mate, who was smirking slightly.

“Don’t look at me it’s the Dead President Wing, I’m just here for the ride.”  Sherman shrugged.  “Once we get him settled, we can spend some time in New Zealand hiking.”

Grant gave him a smile, then focused on the ship coming into port.   Just in the thirty years since his travel across the oceans, transportation had changed.   Roosevelt was coming on an old fashion sailing ship, but a steamer and a hell of a lot quicker.    They stayed away from the passengers who were leaving the ship, and waited until Aubry stepped off the gangplank onto the main dock.   The made their way to the end of the dock, waiting for the small party.

“I thought it was just Teddy?”  Sherman leaned closer observing the quiet large group heading in their direction.

“I knew Aubry was escorting him, along with Stephen.  They were going to take some time and explore the outback.”

Grant stepped forward smiling, hand out to Aubry.  “It’s good to see you.”

“Uly.”  He took his hand then pulled him into a quick hug.  “Not sure I like not having control of the ship.   Billy.”

Sherman gave him a quick nod.  “Who’s our guests?”

“This man needs not introduction…”

“Bully!”  Theodore Roosevelt stepped up hand out.  “President Grant, I am a great admirer of your work.”

“Thank You, President.”

“Ha!” He laughed loud and open.  “Nicolaus said I had to go to the Former Presidents Wing to lay low.   Is there more than us?”

“Presidents Jefferson and Lincoln.”

His eyes went wide with glee, like a kid at Christmas.  “Let me introduce you to my traveling campaigns.”  He waved his arm towards the other three.  “This is my Mate, Sacajawea.  She’s been educating me on a few of my misconceptions.”

She gave him a fond smile, then glanced at the other two men.   Sherman had the distinct impression he was going to get the same education.   He had learned a lot since he ‘died’ both times, and was looking forward to their discussion.

“And this is her companions.  Lewis and Clark.”  He leaned closer to Grant in a very bad conspirator whisper.  “This whole vampire thing keeps introducing me to so many interesting people.”

“Welcome to Australia.”  Grant tried not to laugh, but couldn’t help the smile.

“We figured it was time to visit Thomas.”  Clark leaned over to shake Grant’s hand.  “Though wouldn’t mind having a conversation with Mr. Lincoln.”

“He’s off with Henry, don’t ask we don’t know.”  Sherman also shook their hands.  “We’ll escort you to the Clan home.”

Sherman walked off talking with Lewis, not surprised when Sacajawea stepped next to him.

Teddy held back a bit, standing next to Grant.  “It’s a hard burden to leave it behind.”

“Yes.”  Grant understood the feeling.  “We just have to hope the next group will do what’s right.”

“And if they don’t.”  He asked seriously.

“I haven’t quite yet decided.”  Uly answered honestly.  “Right now take the time to rest.   We’ve just come back from Europe and taking some time for ourselves.   Lincoln is back in a few months, be the first time all of us can talk about life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
