Warrick looked out over the deck to see Brass ordering the crew to tighten the sails. If they were to head for the more remote islands they would need to catch all the wind they could. Thomas was setting quietly working on cleaning some of Nick’s leather gear. He was the only Pirate in the Caribbean that had an English Butler on staff, well one that only worked for his Mate, but still if he was being generous he would help Warrick, after the kids and Brass.

“Well my dear Will, what better way to find a pirate, than a Pirate Hunter.” Tia looked over to the far corner.
There were heavy boots on the stairs, a part of him was expecting to see Barbossa, but instead it was a tall black man. His hair was long, layered in dreads and pulled back to lay down his back. The leather boots went up to his knees, while the dark blue coat touched his thighs. He was a stylish and flamboyant as Sparrow, but Will knew this Pirate was a hell of a lot more deadly. He leaned against the stair well, thumb cupped into his belt, where there was at least one gun and cutlass attached.
“Warrick Calhoun.” Will smiled, laughing lightly. “Jack told me about you.”
“All good.”
“Called you a thieving bastard.”
Warrick laughed, it was loud startling in such a small place. “Tell me young Turner, what are you willing to do to find your Mate?”
“I would die to be with him or kill to save him.” He answered honestly.

Today is actually International Talk Like a Pirate Day! Ya Mateys!
So it’s only fitting we showcase Sylum Universe’s Pirates – we’ll be posting every hour on the hour throughout the day!! The Pirate Aesthetics will have sneak peeks of the updated Pirate Series.
As we do have a lot more pirates than we ever anticipated. Though we do have ‘Disney’ style Pirates through Jack Sparrow, we also showcase the historical reality of Pirates.
Basically the good, the bad, and the ugly of how they lived.
But enough of that …
Raise the canvas ye old sea dogs, grab a pint of rum, and sit back and let us tell you a tale.

“I won’t insult you by asking how you’re doing.” Nico settled himself against the opposite railing.
“I feel like I’m being pulled apart.” Will ran a hand over his face. “I have moments I’m perfectly find, usually while I’m fighting or too busy to think of anything else. Other moments I don’t think I can survive.”
“We’ll get Sparrow back.”
“I know. Even if I have to find Davy Jones and roast him over a hot pit, until he lets me into his damn locker.” Will gave him a sadistic smirk. “By the way did you know he has a kid!?”
Nico had no doubt Will would carry out his threat, and he didn’t blame him. Hedgehurst doesn’t exist anymore, so he understood better than most. He startled at the idea of Davy Jones having a child only to roll his eyes and groan.
“Jack Frost. That was what he had meant about making sure dad didn’t do anything stupid.”
“You know him … it?” Will asked with a sense of childlike curiosity. The kid had made him smile and feel hope for the first time in weeks. He wouldn’t be able to thank him enough for that.
“He’s a Sprite.”
“As in the myths? Like Sirens?”
“He said the Sirens were mermaids.”
Will stared for a moment, and then shrugged. “I rescued Elizabeth from undead pirates and my Mate is in Davy Jones’ Locker, who I might add looks like a walking squid. So you know Sprites and Mermaids … sure why not.”
“And how do you feel about Elizabeth?” Nico needed to know, especially as they had a long journey ahead.
“The Pirate in me gets it. The Vampire in me wants her dead. Most of the time the Pirate is winning.”
“So we’ll keep Tony on her as a guard.” It was good to hear Will’s chuckle. “What’s the next part of the plan?”
“Get Jack.” He straightened up, grabbing the map.

There are over a 1000 characters in the Sylum Wiki – there are many that don’t have storyline and have a bare minimum in their history. Scroll through the Wiki – pick someone and lets figure something out.
Sylum Advent s is our Annual Winter Event. It will start on December 1st and go through to New Years Day, January 1st. It usually focused on Sylum Stories, but we also accept Sylum Art, fanmix, aesthetics, and videos.
You will need to sign up and state what your interested in doing.
REMINDER: All Sylum Stories will need to be approved by Bj Jones – It’s not difficult to work with me for storyline. I’ll be honest it’s best if you focus on stories that aren’t attached to main characters being used in Arcs or stories by other authors. If you’re interested in doing a Sylum Story contact Bj (sylumclan@yahoo.com).

“WILL!” Elizabeth ran to him then stopped as he passed right by her.
Will walked straight to Jack, and pulled him into his arms kissing him fiercely. He knew he probably shouldn’t have, but they both needed the reconnection. He felt the Bond settling, soothing their aching souls.
Jack stepped back, eyes dancing with mirth and passion. “How did you escape?” he asked casually as if they were the only two on the beach.
“Sea turtles.” Will answered, an old joke between them.
“Hard buggers to tame aren’t they?” Sparrow rolled his eyes, hand reaching out, wanting so much more, instead a finger rested on the hidden item under Will’s shirt.
“Kinda like you.” Will removed the key from his neck. “Is that the chest?”
“Aye, did you see ye father?” Jack asked as they moved back toward the item.
“Yes, I did.” Will nodded ignoring Elizabeth behind him. He really didn’t care what she thought of the situation. “Now that we have the heart we can kill it and free you and him.”
Jack noticed Norrington going for his sword. “Not so fast.”
He looked up at his Mate. “Jack?” Will shifted to see Norrington of all people sword drawn. He had no idea what the former commander was even doing there. He stood, moving next to Jack, hand resting on his own sword.
“I’ll be taking the key, Mister Turner.” Norrington pushed the two away from the chest. “At least now I understand why you left Port Royal.”
“I told you once before Norrington.” Will stepped closer, voice dark and menacing. “My place is between you and Jack.”

Teaser from Dead Man’s Chest
Calhoun’s gaze settled on his Mate, a small smile spreading across his face. In the past few years he looked more Pirate than English Lord. The dark hair was browner, having been bleached by the sun, and was longer than when he had first had his way with the Englishman, the black velvet tie was no longer used to pull it back but instead tie of the braid that was settling on his shoulder. The fancy clothes were replaced by durable sea worth wear, a cutlass strapped to his side, with two side arms settled against his lower back.
Over time he had discovered he wasn’t actually an English Lord, but a Roman.
After they had Mated titles really didn’t mean anything to him.
English Lord.
Roman Lord.
There was no difference.
Neither would secure safe passage in the Caribbean.
Until he saw the Roman truly come out, and it was far from the English Lord he played. Warrick watched in awe and ended up horny as hell as his Mate ripped to shreds a group of soldiers working for the East India Trading Company that had the audacity to arrest Captain Calhoun.
Tony and Timothy had broken him out of the cell, while Nick finished off the soldiers. The grace and brutality that he used to dispatch the idiots was beautiful. For a moment he had thought he was looking at another who was known ‘to fight like a devil dressed as a man’.
When Nick pulled his sword from the soldier’s gut watching as he fell next to his comrades, then turned towards Warrick eyes flashing – he had been tempted to drop to his knees.
Anthony slid next to him, smirking slightly. ‘Captain, I would like to introduce you to the Roman General Nicolaus Valerius Meridius.’
