Sylum Snippet

There was this great show called Blown Away on Netflix that really showcased glass blowing.  Not something I’ve really thought about, but was intrigued.

After about a season was starting to think which Clan Members would be into Glass blowing.

The one we came up with is William T Sherman.

Here’s that snippet

Uly blinked a few times, then paused before he asked.  “Are you sure?”

“Yeah.”

“Okay.”  He was a General.  He logistically moved hundreds of thousands of men.  He could figure how to pull this off for his Mate.   Billy didn’t ask for much, not really.   When he got antsy he would go hiking, sometimes rock climbing said it calmed his mind.  He really didn’t have hobbies, so if he wanted to do this – Grant would find out how to fuck to get a kiln and where to put it.  “We can ask that nice construction guy that is part of the clan, about building a workshop.”

“I’m not quite there yet, Uly.”  Sherman grinned at his Mate. “I’ve took an introduction class.  I’m going to sign up for more, and there’s actually university that teach this.”

“Really?” Not something he would’ve thought of, but it works.  “Do we need to figure out how to get transferred to be near one of them?”

“Lucky for us, there’s one only an hours drive away.”  Billy grinned, getting excited now that Uly was on board.

Grant nodded, plans formulating in his head.  “I want the first piece you make.”

Sherman laughed, leaned over and kissed his Mate then pulled out a decent looking whisky glass.  It was a mix of different blues, and slightly leaned to the left.  The thickness wasn’t perfect but it was the most beautiful thing he had seen.  Uly picked it up gently, felt the weight behind it.  “It’s pretty.”

There was a snort.  “It’s lopsided but damn it was fun.”

“So glassblowing it is.”  Uly pulled his Mate close to him.  “Still going to call that nice construction worker, and ask about a workshop.”
