Spring Fling 2023: Sign Ups
Yeah – it’s already that time!!
Okay guys, lets make this year better than last! If you’re interested in participating, please sign up.
Spring Fling is to showcase Artwork, Fanmixes, Videos, and Aesthetics. No stories for Spring Fling those are showcased for Seven Days and Advent!
- Aesthetics
- Artwork
- Digital (wallpapers, designs specific for phones/tablets)
- Memes (make something up that fits Sylum)
- Original (draw, paint then scan or take a picture)
- Fanmix (make a playlist of songs for your favorite character, pairing or clan)
- Fanvids (you don’t have to make a hollywood production, can do a slide show set to music)
What do you need to do to participate?
You will need to sign up and state what your interested in doing
How do I sign up?
There are two ways to sign up!
- Email: sylumclan@gmail.com – put SPRING FLING in Subject and let us know what your interested in doing
- Reply to this Post: Just hit reply with what your interested in doing and contact info for us to get a hold of you.
Sign Ups close February 15th. If we do not get your request, by the 9th it will not be included.
Is there a deadline of when the Art/Video/Fanmix needs to be Finished?
Yes!
- Posts will be made through March on the blog for participants can check in.
- All art/videos/fanmixs will need to finished and emailed to (sylumclan@gmail.com) by April 1st. For those who have drawn something for Spring Fling – please scan to jpg and send via email.

Sylum Inspiration: Ysabel Lomelin

Ysabel was the third daughter of a Merchant family. She was nothing like her sisters, had no interest in being a wife or mother. She spoke her mind, drank with the boys, and had no problem finding a solution to her problems.
Which was what led her to Nerha Silks looking for Máximo, trying to make a deal with him to marry her, as she wasn’t happy her father promised her hand in marriage to an Don, whose granddaughter was five years younger than Ysabel. Instead Aguilar offered her the title of widow.
She instantly forced her way into the small family. It didn’t take her long to learn about Assassins, which she demanded to be trained, and when she learned about Vampires she just gave Máximo a look. He sighed and Turned her.

Sylum Casting Update!
So we’ve made another casting change! The character has been hinted at, but won’t show up for a while yet in Sylum.
We had been keeping an eye on the situation, watching and analyzing until we could be sure to either dump the actor or go with it.
Recently – it was decided to not go with the original actor ’cause they just slid over that line and kept on going.
So – today we’re introducing the new Sam Witwicky!

Sylum Inspiration: Trevor Hanaway
Ehre/Weisheit: Hunter
Trevor was born into an upper middle class family, and raised just outside San Francisco, California. Had a good education, played baseball in high school, got a scholarship to attended Berkley.
It was from there he was recruited into IMF.
He was an exceptional agent, his knowledge and language skills made him an expert in Eastern Europe.
No one knows for sure when his relationship with Jane Carter started, but the two were an exceptional team despite being lovers.
It was a mission in Budapest, when everything went south.
As Trevor laid on the cold ground dying he regretted his fuck up was going to put his love in harms way.
When Benji offered him a chance to live, he took it.
State of the Clan: 2023
It’s officially 2023! Three years into a … well lets be honest … a pretty fucked up decade!
Though 2022 was slightly better than it’s two predecessors it was still fairly rough. On a personal note, my health improved, unfortunately had a slight backtrack, though not as bad as a trip to the ER – so lets count that as a win. The good news, was able to establish a good doctor, got on a better treatment program which seems to be working. I had a lot more energy this year, and was able to finally finish one smaller story (showcased during Seven Days) and two major stories (showcased during Advent) plus update two videos, and a good amount of Aesthetics.
To continue the good news (at least on my end) I have a new job. I started at the beginning of this year, and well to be honest prepped a good amount of posts for the new year a head of time! Once things settle, I’ll be back into the daily grind that is Sylum.
Now before we get into the actual State of the Clan, a few things.
Sylum is and forever will be a safe place!
We work hard to make this place as stress free as possible. Rarely dive into politics, or into aspects world events.
Our goal is to bring a smile and fun to your inbox each day.
