Blessings to you and your family.

As a reminder we’re moving the Security List to a new list. If you missed the State of the Clan, we’re doing this because Yahoo is an asshole.
In the original security group we had it arranged that an email would go out once a month as a reminder of the password. Considering they deleted all the files, we figured this would change. Shockingly, Yahoo fucked that up. On the 1st of January & February, Yahoo sent out that email. Problem: I can’t change, delete, or do anything with it! There is no file to change, no section in the control panel to change what goes out, and they is no support from yahoo. Great job there Yahoo. Which leads to a major problem, when we change the password, once a month an email would go out with the wrong information.
Because of this we came with a new system, that is based on the old. Sadly, Yahoo is one of the only systems that has a ‘mailing service’ that is basic and free. Mailing Lists, are clumsy and can be expensive. While other groups have restrictions on adult content. And we’re not going password free, due to the nature of our content.
So we’ve built a new Security Group, through Yahoo. It works just like the old one, you sign up and you get the password. If you are on the old group you WILL have to join this one to get the new password. And yes it is a NEW password.
The old group and password will be deleted March 1st. So you have 1 week to transfer over.
All links on the blog, plus the one on the new Front Page of the website have been updated to reflect this change.

(Dilios: This one is the asshole)
James Phelps met Galileo while he was in Italy exploring the lands and learning more history. Galileo liked his attitude and offered him a position in his society that puts education and learning above all others.
When the time came, he gave him a second choice of a new life.

Answer: Pelican, a pair of Storks, a Roseate Spoonbill, and a Tricolor Heron. Plus, a pair of mated Swans, and an Osprey. With added Geese and Ducks.

We’re doing something slight different this year. The winner will be contacted and asked for favorite character. Then a small Sylum Snippet will be written!

Speaking of Birds (make sure to check out this month’s Trivia Question!)
What is your favorite bird?

So the good news is we have a new place!
The bad news, is we have to pack everything!
Before we pack up the store – we’re having a Moving Sale!
50% Off everything!
We’re moving and you get the bargains!

Vampire Council Member: Jim Phelps aka Mr. Secretary
(Dilios Note: Not to be confused with the asshole)
Jim Phelps comes from a long line of Phelps, and is named after his grandfather. Born in England, he worked for the Special Operations Executive known as the SOE … nicknamed Department of Dirty Tricks.
Not happy with his role in the beginning workings of MI:5, he ended up in the United States working within the CIA, then building IMF (Impossible Mission Force). He ended up recruiting Ethan Hunt, not long after.
His skills were so valuable, that Lamont gave him a retirement option.

Technically Random Act of Kindness day is tomorrow the 17th. My feeling is doesn’t need to be on a certain date, every day should be a Random Act of Kindness Day.

February 15 is World Hippo Day, an occasion to celebrate and appreciate the world’s third largest mammal.
They’re big, they’re river dwellers, and they’re adorably cute – but what else do you know about these great beasts? Here are some facts that will help you better understand the “river horses.”
1. Hippos are semi-aquatic mammals native to sub-Saharan Africa. Although they resemble pigs to a certain degree, their closest living relatives are actually cetaceans such as dolphins and whales.
2. Hippos spend most of their daytime in lakes and rivers to keep cool. They also sweat an oily red liquid to protect themselves from being sun burned.
3. Hippos might look sturdy and slow, but they’re one of the most dangerous animals in Africa.
4. Hippos play an important role in ecology. All the mud stirring from roaming in the river and the dung they drop in the water are actually beneficial to the fish population.
5. When hippos sleep underwater, they still resurface every three to five minutes to breathe without waking up.
6. Hippos are territorial in water. They can be very aggressive when protecting their own area. They also mate and give birth in water.
7. Although they spend hours in water, hippos can’t really swim. Instead, they run along the river bottom.
8. Although they are enormous, they are mostly herbivorous and can consume 68 kg of grass every night. But considering their huge size, this is not really a big amount of food.
