It’s a variation of the yogurt cake. You need:
Please, remember that English is not my first lenguaje and some term might not be very correct, but I hope you can follow the recipe. You can always ask if I got too wrong.
Ingredients:
1 yogurt ( plain, lemon or vanilla)
You will use the yogurt goblet for measuring the rest of ingredients.
3 measures of flour
3 medium eggs
2 measures of sugar (I use brown sugar)
1 measure of vegetable oil
15 gr. of backing powder
2 soup spoons of vanilla extract
2 tee spoons of ginger powder
2 tee spoons of nutmeg powder
A pinch of salt
The skin of a medium orange cut in very thin ribbons.
How to prepare it:
Preheat your oven a 180 degrees Celsius ( I don’t know the Fahrenheit equivalent)
In a bowl you put all the dry and ingredients ( flour, sugar, backing powder, salt, spices and the orange ribbons)
In another bowl, you mix the wet ingredients ( the yogurt, the eggs, the oil, the vanilla extract)
Once the wet ingredients are completely mixed and have the consistency of honey, you mix it with the dry ingredients, slowly and delicately.
Put the resulting mix in a backing pan of medium size ( I use a 20 cm round pan). Don’t forget to put butter and flour on your pan so the cake don’t stick to the pan.
Backe it for more or less 45 minutes.
Wait for it to cool before you get it out of the pan and then…
Enjoy!
