Enjoy Sylum Snippet by Paula Cas
Me again, taibhrigh, Sylum’s Resident Artist. Today I’m here to talk about those pretty images known as banners that each story in the NEW archive should have.
Like with the New Wiki Character Images, there’s a spreadsheet for this so the General knows the status on the banners. This is especially important during special events like Seven Days of Summer and Advent.
National K9 Veterans Day, March 13, is a day set aside to honor commemorate the service and sacrifices of American military and working dogs throughout history.
It was on March 13, 1942, that the Army began training for its new War Dog Program, also known as the “K-9 Corps,” according to American Humane, marking the first time that dogs were https://www.military.com/officially a part of the U.S. Armed Forces.
The rest, as they say, is history. Officially a part of the service of not, the dogs of war span centuries and include such heroes as Sgt. Stubby, the original war dog, Chips, the most decorated dog in World War II and Lex, who retired with his fallen owners family and Cairo, the Navy SEAL working dog on the bin Laden raid.
Today’s military dogs are valued as important members of their military units and even have their own retirement ceremonies, awards and medals, and memorial services.

Now for a Sylum Snippet from Paula Cas
So, I’m taibhrigh, Sylum’s Resident Artist –a title the General graced me with without really telling me until after 🙂
I have created just shy of 1000 pieces of art (in some form or fashion) for Sylum. Around 400 of these have been for the “New Wiki Character Image” Project. Which started by accident… kind of like most things in Sylum. And, there are A LOT of characters.
