Nothing is True. Everything is Connected.

Sylum Snippet

Still working to do two snippets per month.

So for this one – the idea came from watching some Korean Dramas that are like over the top soap operas and object lessons.

Katsumoto missed the ability to slam the phone down, getting frustration out by slamming it down onto the receive to show his disgust to the idiot who had pissed him off.  But no, all he could do is stab the off button with anger, then toss it on to his desk with a sigh.

Which he just did after another round of stupid conversations with members of the board.   One would think that after the shake up that took place, when the bigoted assholes had practically poisoned his Mate, and Luther’s wrath came down from on high, they wouldn’t be this bitchy.  But no, they still were whiny children, who held onto old beliefs and traditions.  The old crowd was losing their mine over the newest board member, a woman who was an excellent marketing strategist, and two younger business men, who worked their way through the company, and had no family ties or connections.

They hated it.

They hated it even more when Nathan sat on the board meetings, which is why he did it.

He decided he was done with idiots for the day, so ignored any clan related materials, and went to find his Mate.

Katsumoto found Nathan laying on the dog bed with Mushu in the living area.  They were watching Korean dramas, more like soap operas with a tenuous plot line and lots of over acting.  He stopped for a few moments, trying to figure out the plot of this particular series.  It’s usually two sisters, one marries a rich guy the other a poor man.  One sister has a shitty life, hunts down the other and kills the supposedly sister that had a better life.   The two die tragically together, then are reborn.   The sister seeking revenge switches spouses then wonders why their life still sucks.

Or there’s the quiet girl who is targeted by bullies only for them to find out she’s the billionaire’s daughter.

The list was endless.

He settled onto the couch behind them, watching for a few moments.  This one seemed to be about a Billionaire CEO and schemeing women trying to steal his fortune.  “Why are you encouraging the dragon’s obsession with these dramas?”

“They’re fun.”  Nathan rolled onto his side smirking at his Mate.  Then with ease and limber that his family is graced with got up in one fluid motion and sat next to his Mate.  “Besides I think you would like this one.”

“Is someone reliving their life again after sufering at the hands of an abusive mother in law?”

He laughed lightly pulling his legs up onto the couch and leaning against Katsumoto.  “This one is about a Billionaire CEO who constantly has scheming women trying to steal his fortune, and is saved by his dedicated head of security.”

Katsumoto glanced at his Mate.

Nathan grinned.  “The shocking part, the Head of Security is a western man.”

“Mushu.”  The Clan Leader’s eyes narrowed at the Dragon.  “You’re not … “

The dragon who didn’t have Nathan’s grace or flexibility flopped over, both men ducking as the tail swished by them.  “I would not betray my humoon that way.”  He shifted slightly. “Though wish I had thought about it.”

Nathan chuckled. “It’s not like we’re in the gossip columns all the time.  I’m sure that’s what you were arguing about with the board.”

Katsumoto rolled his eyes.  “I miss being able to slam the phone down, stabbing a red dot is not nearly as satisfying.”

“I can make out with you at your desk, that could be fun.”   He kissed him softly.  “Besides I think one of them is selling the stories.  So lets see if some of the board members start scheming to get the Billionaire CEO to marry his daughter.”

“It would likely be the Board Members conniving wife, who plots.” Mushu added contemplating before running off.

“You know he part of this.” Katsumoto gave his Mate a pointed look.

Nathan smirked, then curled closer. “Who do you think his agent is.”

The Clan Leader couldn’t help the laughter.
