Russell Ryan was raised in Hollywood, California by a single mother who saw her son becoming the next Burt Reynolds. He’s been acting and modeling since he was old enough to walk – actually a little before that. As a teenager he went to Hollywood High School, roamed the streets of West Hollywood, and knew every Docent on every Studio Lot.

He learned about cards and poker when he auditioned to be an extra in a Las Vegas movie about Bugsy Siegel. He visited Vegas and fell in love the glitz and glamour. Afterwards, he dreamed of Vegas and Old Hollywood. He poured over the history of Las Vegas and Siegel, and over time couldn’t distinguish himself from the man. He had dreams about a life in Vegas which turned dark and twisted, but there was always one familiar face.

Someone he trusted.

Though his film career never took off, he did get good money to be in one place while a certain actor that he reminds people of could run out the back door. He’s also been his butt double. (Yes, that was his butt in that movie which had that gratuitous butt shot.) He found he enjoyed the behind the scenes action more, and began using the skills he learned in Vegas to teach up and coming teen actors how to play with the big boys.

He was in Vegas playing in a poker tournament when a man slid into the seat next to him. He looked over at him, and instantly felt a connection. He had no idea how much his life would change the day he met Daniel Ocean.
