International Coffee Day

International Coffee Day

Ironically just after Coffee House Friday is National Coffee Day!!

So how about Sylum Snippet and looking one from my list!

Harvey was going to just kill every single idiot who worked for him, even Donna.

“Would someone please explain to me how the fuck this happened?”  Harvey stood in the break room staring at the empty coffee pot.

Donna was hiding outside the room not wanting to face her un-caffeinated boss.  “There was an issue with the supplier…”  She shut up by the death glare she was getting.

“How about a nice cup of tea.”  Richard Elliot suggested trying to calm down the irate lawyer.  “We have a few types, including ones with caffeine.  I can get Tommy to fix one, and add in a bagel.”

Harvey closed his eyes, and pinched his nose with both of his fingers.  He liked Richard, the man had gone through shit and fought his way back from the brink.  “Thank You for the offer, but I’m not sure what day it is, and have court in three hours I need the strong stuff.”

“I’ll still get Tommy get that bagel, never face a judge on an empty stomach.”  He gave him a small smile than wandered off.

“Where the fuck is the coffee!”

“Why are you nice to him, and yet treat me like somehow I did this on purpose!”  Donna yelled back, glaring at her boss.

“Because he’s a rare decent human being who is genuine nice and no idea how the fuck he does it.  You are a Queen Bitch, who likes to torment me and I wouldn’t put it past you to hide the coffee!  Besides it’s your job to make sure I have everything I need.”  Harvey snapped, then took a deep breath.  He was so going to have to buy her a new designer purse, but right now he didn’t care.

“Honey.”

Harvey’s irate glare turned towards the new voice.  “Unless you’re here to help …”  Hank held up a coffee cup from Harvey’s favorite place down the street.  “I love you.”

Donna huffed, then stormed off.

Hank laughed at the grabby hands, but knew not to torment his Mate too much.  Besides they liked the judge who was resining over the trial and no one wanted Harvey to burn bridges.  Their opponent is the one who deserved his Mate’s scathing commentaries.

“By the way you’re lucky it’s National Coffee Day.”  Hank followed him back to Harvey’s office.  “I got a second for free and the only reason Donna hasn’t called a hitman, is because I left a cup for her.”

“Like it wouldn’t be the first time she’s hired one to take me out.”  Harvey settled behind his desk. “I’m lucky Harold is my dear niece and won’t let Rhys take the job.”

“I always have so many questions.”  Hank shook his head, not having met the infamous duo yet.  Actually, Harvey had kept him pretty isolated from a few people.  He had a feeling it had to do with the fact he was always mistaken for Tony Stark when he was in college.   “Are you happy now, caffeinated?”

“Yes, thank you.”  Harvey gave him a wink.

“Good.  I got news about the Gregory case ….”

This snippet is a hoot! Harvey and Daniel Jackson need to get together and commiserate about their love of coffee. Who knows which of them first said, “Here, try this. It’s great!”
I loved the reference to Harold and John.
    Hank does know his Mate!
Happy International Coffee Day, my General!
