I don’t drink much due to my paternal lines penchant for alcoholism, but when I indulge it’s usually local micro-brewed beer or wine.
When I do drink, it’s rum or vodka (mixed drinks, not straight) Favorite drink is a Pirate Float.
I’m with Paula, except in both sides. When I drink hard liquer, I like fruity flavors, so rum or gin. Although I do like liqueurs like Kailua or sloe gin or amaretto. Once in a blue moon though, special occasions. Tonight is my 50th reunion; a friend and I are going and I’ll probably have a beer with the food. Nervous wreck here: wish me luck!

so many alcoholics in my family tree but when i do celebrate something it’s wine.
I rarely drink alcohol since it tends to make me sleepy, but when I do drink I like to drink umeshu which is a japanese plum wine.
