Hubby & I have always had dogs and a cat. After 32 years we’re on our third set of dogs. Hard Rock is a Chihuahua/Terrier (Manchester, we’re guessing). Hubby rescued him from a friend outside Columbia, California, on his solo cross country gold mining journey in 2013-2014. His friend’s wife didn’t want him because he was too big, at a whooping 20 pounds, and they were going to have him put down.
Kota is our newest addition. She is a Feist Dog we adopted her from the pound in Dahlonega, Georgia. We did a little gold mining after we adopted her. It also gave Kota time to settle her stomach after her first ever car ride. We don’t count the ride after the animal control took her from a negligent home. The gold in Dahonega is called ‘Angel Wings’ because that is the shape of the nuggets.
Boog (short for Boogey Man’s daughter) is a long-haired black Siamese cross we adopted from a friend whose apartment’s policy wouldn’t allow him to keep the kitten. At 13 years old, she’s the Queen of the castle. She rules over the two dogs, and only allows a few mere Humans to handle her.
They sound adorable!
Most of the time they are … Adorable, loving, cuddly, and other times it’s like have teenagers racing through the house, wrestling, growling. Some days their names are “No, no, bad dog”. LOL They help keep us active.
Well, we have a large (13 1/2 pound) cat, named Fluffy, who has a long, fluffy coat, which is tabby in color, with white markings. She was abandoned by her previous owner, an stated showing up at our house 13 years ago, looking for food. She’s the queen of the house, and we are her loyal servants. lol. Our other pet is an American Bulldog mix, named Ares, who is just over a year old now, and is very cuddly, and loves to take cardboard out of the recycle bin, and shred it.
Well I have the laziest border collie assuie mix ever. Big John thinks he us a ten pound lap dog. My cats Sugar Bug fits her name sweet as honey and bugs you to death. Tom my female kitten looks just like Tom from the Tom and Jerry cartoons.
I don’t have any pets at the moment, but we’ve usually had either medium sized dogs or cats. I’ve always wanted a Shiba or Kai breed, but as I’m hardly at home I can’t really take care of a dog right now, and I would love to get a hedgehog, but I live in Hawaii, and it’s illegal to own one 🙁
We have a bischon/ shitzu mix. Looks like a shitzu but bounces like a bischon when she runs towards you. Name is Lexi. She is our third dog. We had two Yorkies prior to her – Gizmo and Jennie. In November, my sister asked us to look after her new puppy till Chrustmas – shitzu called Oscar. So essentially, we gave gave two dogs, because 6 weeks after Christmas still have Oscar!
We have 2 dogs. Byron is a 14-year-old doxie/chiwawa we got from the local animal shelter while Roxie is a 15-year-old pug/peke that we found in the street and no one claimed her.
I have a dog and five cats – two of which I inherited from my grandmother when she passed away. Hilton, the dog, will be ten in April; he’s your basic shelter mutt of unknown origin. The oldest cat is Dottie, who turned nine in December – she’s a tuxedo cat. Hailey is also a tuxedo, she’s five this month. Pirelli, who was named after a tire company, will be five in May, and Kimmy will be five in July. Pirelli and Kimmy were my grandmother’s; she ran over Pirelli’s tail with her car, which is why she named him for a tire. Kimmy is a calico, and Pirelli is solid black except for small white markings on his neck and belly – bowtie and cummerbund. The youngest, Benny, turned up at my door last November and started crying for food, and I’m a total sucker so now he’s part of the family. He’s a silver tabby, probably around three years old.
I have a cuddly lap dog named Hoss, he’s half St. Bernard and half Bull Mastiff. And when he sits in my lap I disappear…..lol. I have 3 cats Nico who runs the house. If Nico’s on my bed Hoss will not jump up until I move him. Then there are the twins Peanut and Rascle. They cause all the mischief…..Hoss just helps sometimes.
