Remember, the Chinese Zodiac is based on the Chinese LUNAR calendar. If you’ve ever seen one of those placemats in an American Chinese restaurants that just list years and think “that’s my year” and were born in January or February, you could be a Zodiac animal off.

A great place to see how the Lunar Calendar works is:

You can click on one of the 12 Zodiac Signs (the cute little animal pictures) and see information (personality traits, lucky numbers, colors, flowers, etc) on the animals and the actual dates for its 12 year cycle as compared to the Gregorian calendar.

The Year of the (Metal/2020) Rat started on Jan.25,2020 and will end on Feb.11,2021.
