I wanted to quickly reiterate that as we go into the New Year, and for some, a year of uncertainty – that Sylum Blog will always be a place to retreat too – whether is just to forget the real world, need a place to hide for a few moments, or just be with friends.

We’ve got some plans for the upcoming year to have sylum goodies through out the year, besides the 3 major Sylum Events.  Plus we’re working on putting together a place all can come and hang out.  In edition to the normal every day shenanigans we get up to!

It’s Black Friday!

Besides the hoopla and the OMGs there is something about Black Friday.

Good and Bad.

So are you already out and about? Dude I’m just crawling back home?  I haven’t left my house and have no plans to.

American Thanksgiving is just around the corner.

I could give you my Thanksgiving Rant but you know at this moment I’m thinking we need more positive than negative.

So – What are you Thankful for?  What traditions do you have with family/friends or just for yourself?

Recently I took a trip to the Getty Villa – the main inspiration for the Meridii Villa in Rome.

It’s one of my favorite places to recharge my ‘Roman’ Batteries, plus the amount of Roman Bunnies that always attack is pretty huge.

It’s time for cooler weather, warm drinks, cozy sweaters, and yes …. it’s Halloween Time!

Back to School!

It’s that time of year!  Whether you’re going back to school yourself, kids going back, or a teacher welcoming the kids back … its a hectic time for all.

So anyone going back to school?  Work in a school?  Got kids in a school?  Or avoid all routes to work that go by schools?
