Spring Fling 2026 – Reminder Sign Ups

Reminder!! You know you want to join in on the fun!

Spring Fling is to showcase Artwork, Fanmixes, Videos, and Aesthetics.  No stories for Spring Fling those are showcased for Seven Days and Advent!

  • Aesthetics
  • Artwork
    • Digital (wallpapers, designs specific for phones/tablets)
    • Memes (make something up that fits Sylum)
    • Original (draw, paint then scan or take a picture)
  • Fanmix (make a playlist of songs for your favorite character, pairing or clan)
  • Fanvids (you don’t have to make a hollywood production, can do a slide show set to music)

What do you need to do to participate?

You will need to sign up and state what your interested in doing

How do I sign up?

There are two ways to sign up!

  • Email: sylumclan@gmail.com – put SPRING FLING in Subject and let us know what your interested in doing
  • Reply to this Post: Just hit reply with what your interested in doing and contact info for us to get a hold of you.

Sign Ups close January 31st.  If we do not get your request, by the 31st it will not be included.

Is there a deadline of when the Art/Video/Fanmix needs to be Finished?

Yes!

  • Posts will be made through March on the blog for participants can check in.
  • All art/videos/fanmixs will need to finished and emailed to (sylumclan@gmail.com) by March 28th.  For those who have drawn something for Spring Fling – please scan to jpg and send via email.
  • Spring Fling will start April 5th.

Sylum Advent is our Annual Winter Event.  It will start on December 1st and go through to New Years Day, January 1st.

What do you need to do to participate?

You will need to sign up and state what your interested in doing.

Reminder:  If you would like to work on a Sylum story, you will need to contact me with your idea, and I will have to see a draft ahead of time to make edits or notes.  It’s best if you focus on stories that aren’t attached to main characters being used in Arcs or stories by other authors.  Check out the Sylum Wiki – lots and lots of characters that need some attention and love!

Sylum Big Bang 2025 – Last Day!

 

Some of you might be like – wait we already signed up!  Yes we did do a Sign Up last year, but I wanted to repost Big Bang Sign Ups – as a lot has happened since then.

I have noticed a few who signed up the first time, but not during this session – for those who signed up last time – Still interested?

Information:

Sign Ups – Until March 1st
1st Story Check In – April 1st (Basically Let me know what your plans are) 
2nd Story Check In – June 1st (You should have at least half the story finished)
Art Assignments – June 1st (Will connect Writer with Artist)
Story/Art Check Ins – July & August 
Story/Art Due – Sept 15th
Story & Art will be posted together first week of October

Writers:

  • Stories will have to be at least 25K 
  • You will need to work with Bj on the storyline
  • Suggestions for ideas – there’s a big wiki filled with many characters that do not have stories
  • The story will have to be complete when it’s posted in October 2025
  • Depending on how many artists sign up – an artist will be assigned in June (at this time you should have over half of the story completed)
  • The two of you will have to work with each other on style of art
  • Stories will be due in September 15th

Artists:

  • There will need to be at least 2 pieces of art and a story banner
  • I will work with each artist to pair them with a story/writer
  • You will need to work with the writer on style of art for their story
  • Artwork will be due in September 15th

Sylum’s Big Bang

Sylum’s 2025 Big Bang

 

Well this is still going on!  And bring back the sign ups – in case anyone else wanted to sign up.   I’ll run this till end of the month.

Information:  We’ll be taking sign ups for the next six weeks, which is longer than normal Sylum Events.  You can sign up to be a writer or an artist.

Writers:

  • Stories will have to be at least 15K 
  • You will need to work with Bj on the storyline
  • Suggestions for ideas – there’s a big wiki filled with many characters that do not have stories
  • The story will have to be complete when it’s posted in July 2025
  • Depending on how many artists sign up – an artist will be assigned early next year (at this time you should have over half of the story completed)
  • The two of you will have to work with each other on style of art
  • Stories will be due in June of 2025
