Sylum Snippet (Birthday Fun!)

And another fun snippet.   I keep checking back to my old long list of possible characters for snippets for inspiration.

One of the stories I’m working on is next segment of Mission Impossible Series.

This snippet covers two of the characters requested.

Benji knew Wilhelm was pissed, but also understood that one of them had to get away from Lamont aka Huntley to find out what was going on.   A random ticket for one of his favorite opera’s, along with a planet ticket to Vienna was such an Ethan Hunt move, he was surprised Huntley wasn’t suspicious.   Or maybe he was, and just wanted to see what would happen.   Or use it as a trap to bring Ethan in.  He was already pissed about the wild chase of Ethan’s family.

Though Reacher was new and Benji had so many questions.

He sent his Mate a selfie of him in his perfectly tailored tuxedo to their private awesome phones, he still hadn’t figured out where they came from no matter how hard he tried.

Benji smirked at the filthy comments and emojis he received.

It didn’t take him long to get from the hotel to the Opera House, and he wasn’t surprised when a package was slammed into his chest but some unknown person.   The moment he slipped on the glasses and heard Ethan’s voice something inside of him settled.  Benji knew his Sire was safe, and no amount of ranting or tasks force the CIA sent out, would find him – unless he wanted to be found.   But he also didn’t like the fact he was out there by himself.

He could practically hear Luther’s scoffing, but Benji knew there had been moments the two were separated – hell he broke Ethan out of a Russian Prison for godssake!

“Are you okay?” He asked after Ethan gave him instructions.

“I’m fine.”  There was a softness to his Sire’s voice, which usually meant he was touched at Benji’s concern. “I’ve not been alone.   Luther’s kept track.  Plus I have friends in place Lamont wishes he had.”

Benji chuckled as he stepped out of the metro and headed towards the Opera House.  “Are you going to tell me what is going on, or is this need to know while running from the bad guys thing.”

The laugh was genuine.  “I hope you brought good shoes.”

“Made sure to have some good insole support.”  He couldn’t help the smile, as he made his way to the less crowded entrance.

“Through the front Benji.”  Ethan ordered.

He paused looking around trying to see where the spy was located.  He took a deep breath.  “That might not be a good idea … “

“Oh it’s a perfect cover.”

Benji fully stopped just on the edge of the red carpet, he was ready to respond when a man in a suit startled then called out.  “Prince Sigfried!  We had know I do you were coming!”  He bowed slightly, then gestured to the front doors.

As he walked up the red carpet making sure to keep his head turned away from the cameras,  he silently cursed Ethan Hunt.   Once inside he glanced upward instinct leading his gaze to find the elusive spy. “You knew?!”

“Of course I did.”   His smile was bright as he watched Benji glare at him. “Be thankful.  I have not told Wilhelm, though after this.”

“You are such an asshole.”   Benji muttered then smiled at the attendant who was taking him to the box seat.

“Once you can ditch your fan, there’s equipment waiting for you in the closet.”

He glanced around not finding Ethan, then sighed once again he was going to see the world through the eyes of the camera.
