So about those Documentaries.
They also did Lincoln and Grant – MUST WATCH. They were amazingly done, and yes I freaking cried when both died. Even though I knew. Seriously worth the watch.
These two inspired this snippet.
Uly was not a Navy man, if there was one thing this voyage made clear. He was not a Navy man.
Give him a good horse, and the ground under his feet. Admiral Aubry had been pleasant through the whole voyage the two finding commonality outside being part of the famous Meridii line.
Grant had been dead since 1872, but officially died 2 years ago. After the rumor started that he had throat cancer, he used that as his opportunity. First finishing up his autobiography, to make sure Julia was taken care of, despite knowing Sherman would keep watch along with Sylum Clan. The moment it was finished he set his affairs in order, and died. After the funeral, he was snuck down to New Orleans, where he spent time with Nicolaus – then was shipped off to Sanctuary Clan. He was to well known and his death had hit the nation hard.
A year in Brazil, had him on the HMS Surprise and on his way to Australia.
He was thankful to be stepping off the boat and onto the dock. As he headed down the long wooden path, he found a familiar face at the end of it. He paused wanting to hug and hit the man in front of him. He wasn’t told about Lincoln until he arrived at Sylum after US Grant had passed from throat cancer.
“Mr. President.” He gave the man a hard stared. Lincoln was younger looking, the stress of the war gone from his face. His smile was still large, and his laugh contagious as he pulled Grant into his arm for a hug.
“General Grant.” Lincoln patted his shoulders. “Or should I say President Grant.”
“I wouldn’t had to be President if you didn’t die.” He gave him a half smirk. “I tried sir, I tried hard to put the nation back together as you had intended.”
Abraham gave him a soft smile, then put an arm around his shoulders to lead him towards the waiting carriage. “I know. You did a fine job. I’m sorry I left you with all of it, but there was no better man for the job but yourself.”
“I hated every moment.” Grant sighed then narrowed his eyes at the shorter man by the carriage. “Hello Nicolay.”
“It’s Henry.” He held out his hand, the blue sunglasses still very present. “Welcome to Australia.”
Grant shook it, then glanced back at the ship. He had no idea how long it would be before he sees Sherman. They promised not to Bond and Mate until after they ‘died’. He would wait for Sherman, as he had waited for Uly. He climbed into the carriage, followed by Lincoln and Henry. “Oh by the way. When we get to the house, I should introduce you to a fellow President Thomas Jefferson.”
Somehow he was not surprised.
“Is this becoming a section for dead Presidents?”
“We have our own wing.” Lincoln laughed. “Once settled, I think we should get you some training. You’ve been still for too long, I think.”
“Aubry already started.” He glanced back before the carriage started off to see Aubry and Stephen chatting with others, he assumed was from Oceania. “We have seemed to have left him behind.”
“Cook has taken care of.” Henry assured him.
“I’m glad you’ve had some training. We’ll see how you do with an ax.”
Grant had a feeling this wasn’t going to be bad for him.

That’s a lovely introduction to the Dead Presidents Wing!
