(For this month’s Sylum Inspiration … yes I know we normally don’t do this during Advent but for this we’re making an exception … we’re showcasing 4 couples that were add during the big Wiki Update)<\/p>\n

Sylum: Member<\/h2>\n

Erik<\/a> doesn\u2019t talk much about his childhood. \u00a0He was named for his father, who disappeared before he was born. \u00a0He grew up in a small Jewish community in Los Angeles, even attended Hebrew school, until he started acting \u2018out\u2019. \u00a0Teachers complained that he was pranking them by moving chairs, pens, notebooks \u2026<\/p>\n

He tried to explain to his mother, he didn\u2019t mean to move the items, he would get upset if he couldn\u2019t find a pen and suddenly one was in his hands.<\/p>\n

His mother moved him to a public school, where he ended up in fights against bullies, giving him a reputation before he even got in middle school.<\/p>\n

Erik hated instantly his stepfather, and the feeling was mutual. \u00a0It escalated to a point when during an argument, Erik ended up destroying the living room, without moving. \u00a0His stepfather kicked him out of the house.<\/p>\n

He ended up on the Los Angeles streets by age 13.<\/p>\n

He avoided the gangs, earning a reputation to not be messed with. \u00a0At eighteen he was caught steeling by a local business owner, who instead of getting him arrested took him in. \u00a0He realized quickly Erik had a gift with metal. \u00a0He trained him to work in his auto mechanic shop, taking him into his family.<\/p>\n

By his mid thirties he \u00a0met Charles Deacon a young man in Seminary on his way to become a Priest when he started coming around working with the Boyz in the Hood Organization.<\/p>\n

The two became fast friends.<\/p>\n

Until tragedy struck that forced Erik to flee.<\/p>\n

He ended up in New York, where he ended up on John Reese\u2019s radar. \u00a0Only for everything to go wrong, and Erik ended up shot \u2013 John Turned him.<\/p>\n

Charles<\/a> grew up in Los Angeles in a good Catholic family. \u00a0He was always a \u2018sweet\u2019 boy, very empathetic to everyone around him. \u00a0As a boy he tested out of many of his grades, and ended up graduating early out of high school, and attended UCLA to get a degree in Psychology and Sociology \u2013 wanting to work with kids.<\/p>\n

That Night \u2013 changed his life.<\/p>\n

Always a devote Catholic, he decided to go into the Seminary and use his education to a different advantage. \u00a0He ended up working with the Boyz in the Hood organization, helping boys get out of the gangs that were rooted in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

He adored all those he worked with, never lashing out or getting angry at them. \u00a0It was his compassion that had drawn Erik Lehnsherr to him, and soon the two had become great friends.<\/p>\n

He pleaded for Erik to run, knowing the cops would take the easy way out and arrest Erik for the shooting.<\/p>\n

Six weeks into his recovery, he met Charles Xavier.<\/p>\n

He agreed to go with them to New York, his only requirement was for them to find Erik.<\/p>\n

He was told then about Vampires and it was likely he was Erik\u2019s Mate. \u00a0Not sure how to handle the situation, with Charles being close to be Ordained, they brought in Monseigneur Kiernan.<\/p>\n

After a long discussion, Deacon knew his life was with Erik.<\/p>\n
