Well it’s finally here! \u00a0Ernesto Olivetti Appreciation Week!<\/p>\n

So how did Ernesto end up invading Sylum so throughly?<\/p>\n

I have no idea … okay it was Pierfrancesco’s cheeky grin!<\/p>\n

It started off with Timothy Quinn working on the Demons & Angels. \u00a0 And noticed how cute and adorable Ernesto was. \u00a0In the book, he’s a grade asshole and no one cared that he bled out in a church. \u00a0But lets face it Pierfrancesco is too adorable to kill.<\/p>\n

So we discussed turning Ernesto, as he could be a good Hunter for Lealta.<\/p>\n

That’s all it was supposed to be.<\/p>\n

That’s it.<\/p>\n

A side character, nothing more nothing less.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We were trying to figure out what to do with him, when one night we were\u00a0walking the dog … may Sammy Rest in Peace … discussing bunnies as you do, and inspiration … Mate him to Kiernan.<\/p>\n

To this day we swear Sammy caught that bunny in the bushes!<\/p>\n

Okay so at least now the side character had a Mate.<\/p>\n

*snorts*<\/p>\n

Ernesto knew he had his way in, and from there he\u00a0weaseled into having his own story. \u00a0Because who didn’t want to know what happened after ‘That Night’. \u00a0It really was supposed to be a small story … no really it was.<\/p>\n

4\/8\/2012 – The first email stating … ‘The story begins’<\/p>\n

4\/9\/2012 – Was the first … ‘Evil Timeline of DOOOM!’<\/p>\n

Subsequent emails dating all the way to 5\/28\/2017\u00a0usually with titles ‘damn Italian’ ‘WTF Ernesto’ ‘Fuck you Bob’ and ‘Seriously, Serious?’<\/p>\n

And the rest is history, he slid into storyline made himself home.<\/p>\n

He even forced changes in Demons and Angels. \u00a0Roads Untravelled was supposed to start with Ernesto waking up a Vampire, after everything happened in Demons & Angels.<\/p>\n

*inserts laughing gif again*<\/p>\n

Then there was the 4 hour discussion of what if we Mated him to Patrick, after 100 pgs was already\u00a0written on Roads. \u00a0 Needless to say we worked around that pretty pairing and ended up with Butterfly and Gustave.<\/p>\n

Then there was the moment when Bob decided to tell us he had the soul of\u00a0Sofya, Nico’s wife.<\/p>\n

Speed had to rework more\u00a0of Demons\/Angels, and I had another scene\u00a0to add to Roads.<\/p>\n

Oh and then there was the Ezio discussion in the middle of Mass. \u00a0And just as I walked away leaving Speed near the Altar, as I whispered – what if he has the soul of Ezio’s father.<\/p>\n

The glaring, flailing and silent cursing was pretty epic.<\/p>\n

Of course that backfired on me! \u00a0As I had more to write.<\/p>\n

In the end, we ended up with a good story and character, still having no clue the impact Ernesto would make on Sylum or the fact he would attract so much attention.<\/p>\n

And now he has his own week.<\/p>\n
