Badgers are amazing creatures, and also not to be fucked with.\u00a0 \u00a0The most interesting thing I read (while prepping for this post) was the fact there has been known sightings of Badgers and Coyotes hunting together.\u00a0 \u00a0Theres a thought that will stick for a while.<\/p>\n

And for the Sylum Snippet!<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Walter leaned against the wall watching his Mate befriend a badger.<\/p>\n

They weren’t necessarily vicious animals, but provoked or if they felt trapped they could be deadly.<\/p>\n

And yet there sat his Mate with a badger in his lap getting under the chin scritches.\u00a0 \u00a0If he tried to do it, he likely would have a missing finger.<\/p>\n

“I can’t believe he lets you pet him.”\u00a0 Walter looked over to see Boone standing a safe distance.\u00a0 “I get near one of those and he’s after my balls.”<\/p>\n

“He knows you hunted his ancestors.”\u00a0 Ray gave him a smirk.\u00a0 “Besides Tom is friendly.”<\/p>\n

“You named the badger Tom?”\u00a0 Daniel shook his head.<\/p>\n

“He likes it.”\u00a0 He ran a hand down the rough fur, giving the ears a good scritch.\u00a0 “Him and Jerry were hunting last night.”<\/p>\n

Boone glanced over to Walter, then back at Raymond.\u00a0 “I’m going to regret asking.\u00a0 \u00a0Who’s Jerry?”<\/p>\n

“They coyote.”\u00a0 Ray pointed over his shoulder to the sleeping coyote under the shade of the porch.<\/p>\n

“Shouldn’t it be Wiley?”<\/p>\n

“Why?”\u00a0 Ray gave him a confused look.\u00a0 “His name is Jerry.”<\/p>\n

Walter bit back a chuckle at Daniel’s expression, Ray really was a little shit and had the greatest deadpan expression.<\/p>\n

Boone shook his head, then glanced at Walter.\u00a0 “You’re good with his new pets?”<\/p>\n

“They will attack anything that gets to close to Ray.\u00a0 I’m good with it.”<\/p>\n

Boone nodded in understanding, wondering if he should get Davy an attack Badger.\u00a0 \u00a0“We should get a daschound.”<\/p>\n

Ray’s eyes narrowed, holding Tom closer.\u00a0 “Don’t even think about it.”<\/p>\n

“They would probably become buds with my luck.”\u00a0 Boone gave one last look then wandered off, taking the long way to the door.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
