Obi-Wan groaned and tried to swat the the annoying gnat in his ear only to knock about three datapads and the communicator off his desk.\u00a0 \u00a0He shifted, then sat back realizing he was in his office on the Negotiator, in hyperspace heading to the next battle.<\/p>\n
Reaching out, he could feel Qui-Gon meditating in their shared quarters, Cody was roaming the ship in a determined matter, a slight push outwards he could sense Boil and Waxer gleefully running.\u00a0 It took him a few moments to realize the annoying gnat was his communicator.\u00a0 \u00a0He sighed, yanking it off the floor with a flick of his wrist ignoring the voice in his head that sounded like Yoda chidding him for frivously use of the Force.<\/p>\n
With a glance he realized annoying gnat was accurate.<\/p>\n
“Quin.”<\/p>\n
“Did I catch you at a bad time?”\u00a0 The voice was strained but held a teasing tone.<\/p>\n
“I was asleep.”<\/p>\n
“Shit.”\u00a0 He grounded out.\u00a0 “That commander of yours is going to hunt me down for disturbing you.”<\/p>\n
Obi-Wan laughed lightly.\u00a0 “He’s hunting down some mischief makers, I don’t think he realized I fell asleep on paperwork.”<\/p>\n
“Well that’s not new.”\u00a0 Quinlan gave him a half smile, though looked grimacing through the blue note of the holographic image.<\/p>\n
“What’s up?”\u00a0 He asked.\u00a0 “You wouldn’t call unless it’s important.”<\/p>\n
Vos ran a hand over his face.\u00a0 “That Mate thing…”<\/p>\n
“Please just tell me it’s not some Seperatist leader.”\u00a0 Obi-Wan was half kidding and praying at the same time.\u00a0 \u00a0Quickly debating if he would kidnap and rehabilitate or kill and hope for the best.<\/p>\n
“Sure I’m going to run off with Ventress.”\u00a0 The eye roll was pretty epic.\u00a0 “Mace assigned me to the Corries.\u00a0 They need it, and he realized I’m the just the help they need.\u00a0 Sneaky, underhanded, and has contacts in places that make him envious.”<\/p>\n
“And?”<\/p>\n
“Commander Fox.\u00a0 Bitchy, snarky, no fucks to give anyone.\u00a0 Likely a pirate in a past life, would get along that brother of yours Kenway.\u00a0 Moment our hands met I knew.”\u00a0 The sigh was tired, filled with frustration and hope.<\/p>\n
“Where are you?”<\/p>\n
“On top of one of the spires.\u00a0 \u00a0Those skills you taught me have been helpful.\u00a0 I think the Council is having a heart attack but it’s quiet up here.”\u00a0 \u00a0He looked at his best friend. ” I don’t know what to do.\u00a0 They don’t have freedom, they are slaves and we know it.”<\/p>\n
Obi-Wan nodded the two had this conversation a lot, Qui-Gon had yelled at the Council a lot.\u00a0 \u00a0Obi-Wan was starting to figure out ways to save the Vod’e.\u00a0 \u00a0“We’ll be near Courscant in a few weeks, it’s a supply run,\u00a0 No downtime, just pick stuff up.”<\/p>\n
“You’ve been out for six months.”\u00a0 He pointed out.<\/p>\n
