John wasn\u2019t sure exactly how he ended up on the transport heading down to some unnamed planet, to help fight in a galaxy wide war.\u00a0 He glanced around at the men around him, all with the same armour, wearing a mix of blue or yellow paint showcasing which armies they belonged.\u00a0 He could feel each one was unique and different, and saw some of that individualism painted on their buckets or chest plates.<\/span><\/p>\n

He could also feel their curiosity.<\/span><\/p>\n

These soldiers were raised to fight for the Jedi, and they had a certain image of what that looked like \u2013 he wasn\u2019t it.<\/span><\/p>\n

The LAAT landed on the ground, everyone filing out, guns raised as they moved into position.\u00a0 It didn\u2019t matter the war or army, soldiers were all the same.<\/span><\/p>\n

John moved through the camp, looking for Commander Cody and Captain Rex.\u00a0 He had given Mace a look, how was he supposed to find two people in a sea of sameness.\u00a0 The Jedi Master smirked, stating he\u2019ll just know.<\/span><\/p>\n

He was right.<\/span><\/p>\n

Just like soldiers, Commanders and Captain all had a certain feel to them.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cCommander, I\u2019m John Rhys, Master Windu sent me.\u201d\u00a0 He gave them both a nod, feeling their curiosity at his outfit.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cGeneral Windu stated he was sending in another Jedi.\u201d\u00a0 Cody\u2019s head tilted slightly, taking in the outfit.<\/span><\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t anything like the typical Jedi tunics and cloak, instead it was a modern version of his Assassin gear, minus the red sash.\u00a0 He had on dark pants, grey long sleeve shirt, covered by a black vest made of thin kevlar, accented with a thick leather belt, that held an array of weapons, including his lightsabers, finished off with a form fitting knee length coat.\u00a0 Likely the only thing he had in common with normal Jedi wear, was the boots.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWell he sent me.\u00a0 I have some unique abilities, that he knew would come in handy.\u201d\u00a0 John gave him a half smirk, then looked out over the battlefield.\u00a0 All he could see were droids, or what the clones called clankers. \u00a0 On the opposite end of the battle field was Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon, along with Skywalker, and young Ahsoka Tano, they were barely holding their own against the onslaught. \u00a0 \u201cI need two of your craziest bastards.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cFives! Echo!\u201d\u00a0 Rex turned and shouted without hesitation.\u00a0 \u201cThey\u2019ll the most dini\u2019la of this group of crazies.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cCaptain.\u201d\u00a0 Echo glanced over at Rhys, then focused back to get his orders.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cGo with General Rhys, do what he says.\u201d\u00a0 Cody gave them their orders.\u00a0 \u201cK\u2019oyacyi!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

They both nodded, then turned to Rhys, who would need to find out more of the clones native language.\u00a0 \u201cFollow me.\u00a0 I need a transport, who is willing to drop us off in the middle of those clankers.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Fives snorted.\u00a0 \u201cI know the perfect pilot, sir.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

In seconds they were up in the air, making their way towards the battle.\u00a0 John was sure the pilot was what would happen if Murdock and Maverick had a kid.\u00a0 \u201cJust get us towards the middle, don\u2019t get to low.\u00a0 I can handle our drop.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cCrazy Jetii osik.\u201d\u00a0 Fives muttered as he prepped his weapons.\u00a0 \u201cGeneral, what\u2019s the plan?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re going to take out as many clankers, I\u2019ll need you to hold them off as I prep The Machine.\u00a0 When I tell you to, grab on and hold on to me, the backlash through these tincans will be strong.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSo we\u2019re going to land in the middle of the battlefield and just shoot as many as we can, until you blow them all up with us in the middle of them?\u201d\u00a0 Echo asked.<\/span><\/p>\n

John\u2019s grin was terrifying.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fives elbowed his vod.\u00a0 \u201cWe\u2019re claiming this Jetti.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNot a Jedi.\u201d\u00a0 Rhys stated with ease.\u00a0 \u201cOkay we go in five, four, three \u2026 \u201d\u00a0 The LAAT door opened, giving them a clear look at the battlefield.\u00a0 Clankers as far as the eye could see, all types from the smaller battle droids, to the big tanks, all of them reigning hell fire onto the small group of Jetii trapped.\u00a0 \u201d \u2026 two, one.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

They didn\u2019t have time to scream as they jumped along with the Jetii. \u00a0 The moment they landed on their feet, they opened fire, Echo and Fives keeping their backs to each other, raining hell down onto the clankers, lost in the insanity of the moment.<\/span><\/p>\n

The got a glimpse of the General, as he sliced through the clankers with his lightsabers.\u00a0 They were different from General Kenobi and Skywalker, instead of the blue or green they had seen, these were almost grey, they couldn\u2019t quite describe them.\u00a0 General Rhys was efficient in his movements, cutting the enemy down, until most had started to give them a wide berth.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cCover me.\u201d\u00a0 Rhys yelled as he put his lightsabers away and pulled a device from an inside pocket.\u00a0 \u201cHarold we\u2019re set.\u201d\u00a0 Echo and Fives had no idea who Harold was, but made sure to keep their General safe, as he set the bomb.\u00a0 \u201cCountdown in five\u2026\u201d\u00a0 Rhys reached over and grabbed the two clones.\u00a0 \u201cHands on my jacket, do not let go.\u201d\u00a0 They didn\u2019t have to be told twice.<\/span><\/p>\n

Both men grabbed hold, but kept their gun straight, destroying any clanker that got close.\u00a0 They had no idea what to expect when the countdown hit one.<\/span><\/p>\n

There was a high pitch whine, as they felt an energy pull them closer to Rhys, then suddenly it exploded outwards across the battlefield.\u00a0 They watched in rapt attention as every single separatist droid fell to the ground completely useless.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fives glanced at Echo then behind them to Rhys.\u00a0 \u201cWe\u2019re keeping him.\u00a0 He\u2019s now our Jetii.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Rhys looked over his shoulder, eyes holding a tint of yellow. \u201cNot a Jetii.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
