I’m actually in the process of re-reading the books so it’s been fun.<\/span><\/p>\n

Read them?\u00a0 Read them a few times?\u00a0 Seen the movies?<\/span><\/p>\n

Oh and a snippet \ud83d\ude00 – not one from my list but more of a fun teaser<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Larry Daley held onto his son’s hand tightly.\u00a0 Not that he thought he was in danger, but he kinda needed the grounding.<\/span><\/p>\n

The past couple of years had been a wild ride.<\/span><\/p>\n

Discovering about Vampires.<\/span><\/p>\n

His Mate.<\/span><\/p>\n

Finally finding that one thing he had always been looking for, contentment.\u00a0 \u00a0He had graduated a few months ago with his MA in history (had some of the bests tutors around!), and his Mate had surprised him with a trip to Egypt to meet everyone at the Medjai Clan.\u00a0 \u00a0Larry had met a few over the years, those who had come to talk to Ahkmenrah (or Ackman as he used in the modern world).\u00a0 \u00a0So he had met some very old Vampires, but now it seemed like he was discovering myths were just as real as … well as Ancient Egyptians.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Dad.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Larry stopped squeezing his son’s hand and gave him a smile.\u00a0 \u00a0His boy was inching into being a teenager,\u00a0 and was scaring the crap out of him.\u00a0 \u00a0It had taken a lot of discussion with his ex for her to even allow him to come on the trip, and he had never been so grateful for Don who convinced her it was a lifetime experience and then surprised her with a vacation for the two of them.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“Sorry kiddo.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Nick rolled his eyes, but kept close to his dad.<\/span><\/p>\n

“It’s just overwhelming.”\u00a0 Larry sighed, still wondering how was this his life.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Yeah I get it.”\u00a0 He smiled at his dad, he loved Ackman – he made dad happy but the weird shit that came with him was well weird.\u00a0 “I had breakfast with Aladdin and Jafar who isn’t a bastard, was expecting the parrot.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“They lost him a few years ago.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Both Daley’s jumped then turned around to see a broad blond smiling at them.\u00a0 “This place was overwhelming when I came here almost a thousand years ago.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“Oh geeze is anyone under a hundred?”\u00a0 Larry asked feeling like a toddler.<\/span><\/p>\n

“That would be you.”\u00a0 He laughed softly.\u00a0 “Welcome to the Medjai, I can show you around, while my Mate talks with Ahkmenrah.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“I’m Larry, this is my son Nick.”\u00a0 Daley gave him a smile and held out his hand.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Boromir.”<\/span><\/p>\n

The two stared at him, both blinked slowly.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I’m sure you’re imagining me in leather with the white tree of Gondor?”<\/span><\/p>\n

“I wasn’t going to say it.”\u00a0 Larry closed his eyes and counted to ten.\u00a0 “I was barely handling President Theodore Roosevelt and King Tut, now fictional characters?”<\/span><\/p>\n

“Didn’t you die.” Nick asked then groaned when his dad smacked him.\u00a0 “I mean…”<\/span><\/p>\n

“Is there a ring that needs to be tossed into a volcano?”<\/span><\/p>\n

Boromir chuckled slightly. “Already been done.\u00a0 \u00a0Did you not meet my Mate, Aragorn?”\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“Seriously.”\u00a0 Larry shook his head.\u00a0 “I have so many questions.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“So is the books based off you?”\u00a0 Nick asked, having just read the whole series.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“Some of our tales and history were inccoporated into the stories.\u00a0 \u00a0Tolkien was a good man, who loved a good story.\u00a0 He had discovered about Vampires from one of his children’s nannies, and travelled to experience the clans, later he sat down and the stories were developed.”\u00a0 Boromir still was a bit sore at being killed off, but at least he had his redemption.\u00a0 “My brother Faramir, enjoys the tales as does his wife Eowyn, and her brother Eomer.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“Oh that is so cool!”\u00a0 Nick grinned at the warrior. “Are there Elves, Dwarves and Hobbits?”<\/span><\/p>\n

“No Elves at least not that we know of, but I wouldn’t be that surprised if ever to meet one.”\u00a0 A new voice spoke up, the three glanced over to see Aragorn step up and give his Mate a quick kiss.\u00a0 “Dwarves as of those who were part of the company, are based off a might adventure but were not dwarves, and despite how small Bilbo is, he’s not a Hobbit.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“He’s only small because his Mate his huge, makes Eomer look small.”\u00a0 Boromir chuckled at the blinking and flailing.\u00a0 “Bilbo lives up in Mod Clan, with his Mate Thorin, who is huge like over six foot five, so poor Bilbo who his average size, looks tiny.\u00a0 He bases his opinion on people on how long it takes them to look at his feet.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Larry held up his hands.\u00a0 “Tell me that the travel blog ‘There and Back Again…'”<\/span><\/p>\n

“Yep.”<\/span><\/p>\n

He couldn’t help the laughter.\u00a0 “This is so sureal.\u00a0 \u00a0So anyone else cool?”<\/span><\/p>\n

“Met Hercules yet?”<\/span><\/p>\n
