It’s S’mores Day!<\/span><\/p>\n

Love them? Hate them?<\/span><\/p>\n

Suddenly have a craving for them?<\/span><\/p>\n

And with this – a Sylum Snippet<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

“This is nice.”\u00a0 Frank Hurley settled back in his beach chair, warm by the fire as the cool air came from the ocean.\u00a0 \u00a0“It was a good idea.”<\/span><\/p>\n

James smiled brightly over at his Mate, settled in his own chair, though sporting a hoody, Mrs. Chippy curled under it.\u00a0 “We live off the water, but hadn’t actually been to the beach.\u00a0 I have some good memories of taking days at the beach ending with a big fire pit and s’mores.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“Tell me we have the making for s’mores!”\u00a0 Frank sat up giving his Mate a look, who just returned the same one back.\u00a0 “Gimmie.”<\/span><\/p>\n

The laugh was bright as he stood and made his way over to the cooler, pulling out a bag of marshmallows and tossing it over to Hurley.\u00a0 \u00a0The photographer grabbed two small sticks that were on the wood pile and set them on the edge of the concrete pit, then quickly opened the bag and pulled out two large marshmallows.\u00a0 \u00a0By the time he had them prepped, James had the graham crackers and chocolate ready.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“I haven’t done this in a long time.”\u00a0 Frank barely remembered the last time he had been this relaxed.\u00a0 “Thank you.”<\/span><\/p>\n

James leaned down and gave him a quick kiss before settling back in his chair, sliding it closer to his Mate.\u00a0 He pulled Mrs. Chippy out of her warm spot and set her on the sand, ignoring the digruntled meow.\u00a0 “You’ll be fine.”<\/span><\/p>\n

The two laughed as they blew out the burning treat, quickly making their S’mores.\u00a0 \u00a0James quickly didn’t remember s’mores being this sexy and hot, the last time he had them.\u00a0 But damn all he wanted to do was lick the chocolate off his Mate’s lips.\u00a0 By the time they fixed their third treat, he was ready to straddle his Mate in his chair and see what other moans he could pull from him, when he heard a yowl.<\/span><\/p>\n

He glanced down to see a pissed off Mrs. Chippy.\u00a0 Her paws were covered in gooey marshmallow, there was more in her whiskers.\u00a0 “What did you do?”<\/span><\/p>\n

She just glared at him demanding attention.\u00a0 \u00a0He handed over his stick to Frank, who was snickering at him or Mrs. Chippy he wasn’t sure.\u00a0 \u00a0He grabbed the baby wipes, ones he carried even after Stephen had been put of diapers the damn things came in handy!\u00a0 Cleaned up the disgruntle cat, he grabbed one of the towels and scrunched it up, sitting her in the small nest.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“I don’t think she’s a fan.”\u00a0 Frank handed him a s’more.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Will not hear the end of this for the next week.”\u00a0 He leaned over and gave him a small kiss.\u00a0 “Though we should make this habit, next time I’m licking off the chocolate.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Frank gave him a promising smile, only for both to laugh when there were interrupted by another yowl.\u00a0 “The kid’s not happy.”<\/span><\/p>\n

James rolled his eyes, gave him a deep kiss then picked up the damn cat and put her back in his sweater.\u00a0 “Children.”<\/span><\/p>\n

The two settled back into their chairs, enjoying their s’mores and each other’s company.\u00a0 \u00a0The loud purring was indication that the kid had finally fell asleep.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
