Ah the Theatre – haven’t seen you in a while!!<\/span><\/p>\n

So a snippet that is from my list!! WOHOO!!<\/span><\/p>\n

Paula – finally Nathan\/Katsumoto<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Katsumoto stepped into their suite, pausing at the doorway admiring his Mate.<\/span><\/p>\n

This was a vacation for the two of them, one they desperately needed.\u00a0 The negotiations he had to go through with his Hunters had been insane, but he had won … sort of.<\/span><\/p>\n

He agreed to go to Tokyo not Sydney like he had wanted, but he got two weeks out of them instead of the original one.\u00a0 They kept their distance, let him have time with his Mate without worry or stress of dealing with the Clan, Politics or any other crisis that would come up.<\/span><\/p>\n

He was enjoying the fact that in a modern age he could walk with his Mate, be a tourist, sneak a kiss or soft moment, and only get glared at instead of hunted down and killed.\u00a0 \u00a0He enjoyed being more open with his Mate, but at times he could see Nathan’s nervousness.\u00a0 \u00a0What happened during the war was never going to fully go away, but it had eased over decades.\u00a0 But, this vacation was about relaxing, spending time with each other, not dealing with overly protective Dragons and Hunters.<\/span><\/p>\n

“What are you staring at?”\u00a0 Nathan looked at him through the mirror as he fixed the bowtie on the tuxedo.\u00a0 His hair loose styled slightly, mostly he wore it back in a ponytail.\u00a0 \u00a0He looked hot, and Katsumoto was proud to have him on his arm.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“You.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“Seriously.”\u00a0 Nathan turned around giving him an incredulous look.\u00a0 “Did we step into a Hallmark movie?”<\/span><\/p>\n

“I blame Dan for introducing those too Mushu, and who ever gave the Dragon access to a tablet with voice command!”\u00a0 Katsumoto grinned at Nathan’s laughter.\u00a0 “You laugh, but I caught him watch porn.”\u00a0 The laughter got worse, but it made his heart beat faster, it was so good to see his Mate so relaxed.\u00a0 “You look very handsome tonight.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“Well someone is taking me to the theatre.”\u00a0 Nathan smiled as he made his way over to his Mate, slipping into his arms.\u00a0 “I can’t remember the last time we had a night out, let alone a week without the children.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“That’s our Clan you’re talking about.”\u00a0 He kissed his softly, pulled back before the tux ended up on the floor.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“I was referring to Mushu.”\u00a0 Nathan gave him a quick kiss, then stepped around him.\u00a0 “By the way you clean up nice.”\u00a0 He gave him a wink, but his expression was a promise for later.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As they made their way through the lobby to the waiting car, Katsumoto ignored the appreciative looks his Mate was getting.\u00a0 He also had to stop his instinct to pull him close, staking his claim.\u00a0 \u00a0He normally wasn’t this possessive, but seeing his Mate relaxed and enjoying himself, looking young and carefree … he would do anything to keep that.\u00a0 They slid into the waiting SUV, it was driven by a Chosen One, compromise he made or he would’ve ended up with Wales.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I have a surprise for you after the show.”\u00a0 Katsumoto reached out and took Nathan’s hand.<\/span><\/p>\n

“What is it?”\u00a0 He asked squeezing his Mate’s hand, this time not letting go, he could almost feel the happy dance Katsumoto was doing internally.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He wasn’t used to open affection, his family never showed it, and after he Mated with Katsumoto he slipped into a particular role that most never understood.\u00a0 He stayed more aloof, as so many of Katsumoto’s connection at the time did not appreciate a Westerner in Japanese business.\u00a0 \u00a0Many had not liked the fact such a powerful man like Katsumoto had a male Mate, so it eased many of their perceptions when Nathan took the role of a woman, they also forgot he spoke Japanese and a half dozen other languages.\u00a0 It was amazing how they complimented and insulted him all at the same time.\u00a0 \u00a0 They were also shocked on how Katsumoto out maneuvered them during negotiations, not like he had inside information or anything.<\/span><\/p>\n

After the war it had taken years for him to accept the simplest of touches.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As time has gone on, he’s relaxed more and doesn’t mind his Mate’s tendency to show public affection.\u00a0 \u00a0He’s even taken to reaching out on occasions.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“If I told you it wouldn’t be a surprise.”\u00a0 He gave his Mate a pointed look, trying to not to fall for the kicked puppy look.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Nathan rolled his eyes.\u00a0 “Keep your secrets!”\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It wasn’t long before they pulled up to the theatre.\u00a0 The driver opened the door Katsumoto let go and stepped out, standing to the side to wait for his Mate.\u00a0 \u00a0He watched other patrons making their way up the stairs, everyone dressed in their finest.\u00a0 He startled slightly, when Nathan took his hand.\u00a0 \u00a0He glanced at his Mate, making sure he was good.\u00a0 “Don’t want to be late.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Katsumoto gave him a blinding smile, and tried not to skip in joy.\u00a0 Nathan’s laughter next to him, meant he wasn’t fooling anyone.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As they settled into their box seat, he realized no one hassled them.\u00a0 \u00a0He actually looked around to see if Wales had left any bodies nearby, but if the Hunter was around he was holding to his word not to be seen.\u00a0 “Thank You.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“I have to stop being afraid if someone sees us together they’ll drag me away.”\u00a0 Nathan looked down.\u00a0 “It’s been eighty years and I’m still dealing with this shit.\u00a0 It’s tiring at times.\u00a0 I just want to be out with Mate, and not care what others think.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Katsumoto reached over and took his hand, holding it tight.\u00a0 “I will never truly know what you went through.\u00a0 And I know it will not always be easy.\u00a0 We are in the 21st Century and there are moments when I’m not sure we’re being hassled because you’re American or we’re two men.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“Both.”\u00a0 Nathan leaned against him, settling into their seats.\u00a0 “I’m enjoying our vacation.\u00a0 I needed it, you needed, hell we needed it.\u00a0 And if you don’t take me to Disney I’m making you sleep on the couch.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Katsumoto laughed openly, only to get shushed by those in the box next to them.\u00a0 “It’s a good thing I got tickets for the upcoming Tuesday.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“I love you.”\u00a0 He leaned over and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek, then settled into his chair, still holding his Mate’s hand as the curtains rose.\u00a0 “By the way did you pick World Theatre Day on purpose?”<\/span><\/p>\n

“The what?” Katsumoto looked over at his Mate confused only for them to get shushed again, making both of them snicker.<\/span><\/p>\n
