This day totally called for a Sylum Snippet<\/p>\n
“Is there a reason why I’m buying you dinner at the most expensive restaurant in New York?”\u00a0 Nico gave his uncle a look, indicating he wasn’t all that impressed.\u00a0 “Which I’m sure you’re billing me by the hour at the same time?”<\/p>\n
“Nicolaus.”\u00a0 Harvey gave him a dashing smile, which resulted in a snort from the Clan Leader.\u00a0 “It’s good to have family dinners.”<\/p>\n
“Family dinner is on Christmas Eve.”\u00a0 He chuckled at the horrified expression on Harvey’s face.<\/p>\n
“I’m not having a meal with that bastard your mother slept with.”<\/p>\n
“I was going to say that was in a past life, but unfortunately I have had first hand knowledge it isn’t.”\u00a0 He still couldn’t quite get that image out of his head, and at this moment hated Harvey for bring that particular nightmare back.<\/p>\n
“I should sue for custody, to expose a child to that.”\u00a0 The sad part of that statement was Nico wasn’t sure if he was kidding or not.\u00a0 “Why the look, can’t we just enjoy good food and each other’s company.”<\/p>\n
“Usually, you either have bad news or want something.”\u00a0 Though he had to admit the bourbon was top notch, and so far the food had been excellent.\u00a0 If they get his steak right, it might be worth the amount of money he was spending on this family dinner.<\/p>\n
“I thought it would be nice to spend time with my nephew.”\u00a0 Harvey gave him a real smile.\u00a0 “Besides it’s be Kind to Lawyers Day.”<\/p>\n
“That’s a day?”\u00a0 He chuckled sipping his bourbon.\u00a0 “So the other 364 days you get to be an asshole.”<\/p>\n
Harvey grinned.\u00a0 “So on that note don’t kill me…”<\/p>\n
“Hello Nicolaus.”<\/p>\n
Nico glanced up to see Craterous standing at the end of the table.\u00a0 “What brings you by?”<\/p>\n
