It had been a long shitty day.<\/p>\n
Calhoun was lucky, Longworth hadn’t shot anyone.\u00a0 \u00a0The idiot deserved more than a tongue lashing, for the shit he put his kids through.\u00a0 There were days he hated his job, and right now all he wanted to do was curl up with his Mate, who luckily had the day from hell off.<\/p>\n
“Dwight?”\u00a0 He kicked off his shoes by the door, put away his badge and gun.\u00a0 Made his way to the kitchen to find a couple of cold beers.\u00a0 “Dwight?\u00a0 Snuggums?”<\/p>\n
The only thing he could hear was the soft jazz music coming from the bedroom.\u00a0 He popped open the bottles, then made his way towards their room.\u00a0 The old style record player was open, the sultry voice of Aretha Franklin coming from the speakers.\u00a0 \u00a0Jim wasn’t surprised his Mate owed an original record player, wasn’t shocked he had it since he was a kid – it was part of the whole Dwight Hendricks aesthetic.\u00a0 As was the guitar in the corner, leather jacket on the back of the jacket, and the hair gel in the bathroom.<\/p>\n
Speaking of…<\/p>\n
He eased the bathroom door open, smiling at the sight of his Mate soaking in the tub.\u00a0 The one that had been original to the house had been removed, when they remodeled the whole bathroom.\u00a0 It was too damn small for one of them, let alone two.<\/p>\n
Leaning against the doorjamb he just took in the sight, enjoying the softness of the moment.\u00a0 They didn’t get many of these, usually one of them was using the bath to soak aching muscles after chasing some idiot criminal down a back alley.<\/p>\n
“Should I be jealous?”<\/p>\n
Dwight startled slightly, waters splashing over the edge.\u00a0 “When did you get home?”<\/p>\n
“Twenty minutes ago.\u00a0 I was enjoying the view.”\u00a0 He waved his hand at wet naked Mate.<\/p>\n
Dwight blushed slightly, before sitting up in the tub hand out for the beer he saw in Jim’s hand.\u00a0 “Did you kill anyone?”<\/p>\n
“It was close but I reminded myself I look horrible in Prison Orange, and hate the desert, so living with the Medjai for a few decades would suck.”\u00a0 He leaned down for a kiss, then handed him the beer.\u00a0 “So I’ve been replaced?”\u00a0 He plucked the rubber ducky from the water.<\/p>\n
“He was keeping me company until you got home.”\u00a0 Dwight took a sip then set the bottle on the floor, reaching upwards taking hold of Jim’s shirt and pulled him into the water.<\/p>\n
He barely had enough time to set his own bottle on the floor, before landing in the water causing more to splash over the side.\u00a0 “So glad we got the extra large tub.”<\/p>\n
“Me to.”\u00a0 Dwight kissed him soundly.<\/p>\n
